Deezer x Sonos

Hi,

I recently cancelled my Spotify account and signed on to a Deezer Premium account due to their respective stances on AI generated contents.

However, not being able to cast to Sonos, or not being able to play on Sonos whatsoever (due to known issues to Sonos with Deezer as added service) it will be difficult to keep using the service.

That’s strange.

If I use my Android phone or tablet I use the Sonos app. And if I use my work iPhone I use Deezer with Airplay.

Can you check if you are using the most recent Deezer and Sonos release?

And if possible, can you share any screenshots of the errors you are getting? Thank you.

Hi,

dies not work on Sonos app at all. This is a known issue to Sonos.

I am able to play on Sonos directly from the Spotify app which I am trying to figure out how to do with Deezer.

Does not seem to be possible.

When using the speaker button on the left I get the choice to send the music to a Sonos speaker or something else:

That’s really odd. Normally when using Airplay & Bluetooth you should see your Sonos speakers.

I don’t know if Deezer can help you or when. Isn’t a option to post a message in the Sonos Community?

Deezer as an added service is a known ussue to Sonos.

Never thought on asking about AirPlay. Will try that.

Still, a bit too much for what should be plug and play, no?

Oddly enough, Deezer is a more expansive service than Spotify (at least in Norway). Would expect a bit more.

Hello @Nusselt thanks for your first post here and welcome to Deezer.

Maybe I am wrong but your talking about the feature Spotify Connect that allows to connect Spotify with Sonos speaker?

Unfortunately Deezer Connect doesn’t allow same connection for now.

But like our amazing super user @awesomemac said you can use Deezer as service in the Sonos app.

Indeed here and there an issue might occur, but thanks to an awesome partnership that we have with Sonos, normally they tend to fix things quite fast.

Also there is the option the Airplay which for me as for our super user, works fine. I can stream from the Deezer app through that method.

Last, for the casting option you were trying, I am not aware of which model of Sonos you have, but mine, Sonos One doesn’t not support Chromecast, so that is why I can’t find that device in the list of devices.
