Deezer volume goes to 50% when connected to car bluetooth

Hi, since few updates ago, when Deezer connects to my bluetooth car audio it automatically lowers the volume to 50%…no matter how I left it. It’s annoying

Is this a bug or something to disable in the settings?
Thanks.

Changing any settings in Deezer App (normalize sound, etc) - doesn’t help at all.

I checked the other issues within the community to find a solution or common problem.

It seems to be connected to this tread

Here is a post from @Leonídia.Deezer where there is a update depending on other users problems and creating this annoying issue.

The post said “Hi everyone, Happy New Year to you all!

Our developers have shared some updates with us. In version 10.29, they’ve added a fix to improve the audio experience: when connecting to a Bluetooth speaker or using Airplay for the first time, the volume will automatically drop to 50% if it’s set to 100%, avoiding any sudden loud surprises.

Version 10.29 is now available on the App Store—don’t forget to update!”

Concluding this seems a (chosen) solution to one problem creating another. Please revert this, or make it a toggle or anything, because this is breaking the Deezer experience for me.

The amount of feedback on a bug/issue is also mind blowing to be honest. No response in more than a month.

@VeryStealth Totally agree with you!

You know, sometimes I just think of stopping using Deezer at all…

For example, for me - there is no iWatch App. Because I don’t know about others, but for me - it always shows the offline mode, even if the iPhone is near and is playing music….

Unfortunately, there are not so many better alternatives…  Please, anyone, don’t suggest Spotify or Apple Music or Youtube %)))

Unfortunately, the Deezer App thinks that EVERY TIME is a FIRST time...

I feel you, though to be honest i have been using Deezer for i think about 7 years now and have not ever really considered leaving Deezer up until now. Even the times i used or checked this community feed it seemed like a place where we find solutions, but up until now it has been strangely quiet. And since the motorcycle volume issues defaulting 50% makes Deezer unuseable when travelling it may well be me looking for alternatives. Not because i am unhappy about the overall app and experience, but this is a personal dealbreaking bug (or do we call it a feature since we happily announced it?)

I just installed the Apple Watch app since i normally don’t use it. For me it does sync live though, maybe reinstalling it on your watch specifically might fix that issue and make you a bit happier :)

Sorry for the english btw, not native.

Hi, Our devs have asked if you could please update the Deezer app to it’s latest version 10.40.0.3 and let us know if the problem persists?
Thanks for your help

Hi @Jaime.Deezer!

With the newest version there has been no change at all for me on this issue. The behaviour persists exactly the same.

@Jaime.Deezer

It’s so annoying… every time you leave or come back into the Deezer app this happens (Deezer App in background) and only with Deezer App, you Shazam it drips to 50%, make it louder manually again to 100%, go back to Deezer app it drops again. Same with calls and all else. How are you not able to fix this… it was working fine before! Reason for me too to cancel Deezer after many years.

Jup, still the same here. Again no response for a month. No “We are looking further into the issue”, nothing.

Pushing leaving because of the hassle, this has to get fixed asap.

@Jaime.Deezer can we get this higher up please.

On Android, one full year later, and can confirm that this is still an issue. Bluetooth, Android auto, doesn't matter what, reduction to 50% volume.

I think, maybe let me control my apps' volumes? I'm still in the free trial right now, and this might stop me from even considering paying.
