Suggestion for Artist separation

Could we please find a way to individually ID artists and keep them seperate if an artist under a the same name were to post a song.

I assume the artists would be in some sort of database, meaning that there should be some sort of ID system in place that already holds those artists; why not make it so that artists pages are separated by ID instead of “literal text”? I could imagine it wouldn’t be hard to keep the songs under the same id as well. The only reason why i see something like the current system to be useful is if you are really trying to maximize space saving at the cost of user convinience.

What we don’t want; 

Lush (Artist 1 & Artist 2 & Artist 3)
 

This above would mimic how we currently have this system; One name for multiple artists with the same name.

Idea Proposed;
Lush (Artist 1 under ID:001)

Lush (Artist 2 under ID:002)

Lush (Artist 3 under ID:003)

The list above would keep each song that remains under it’s respective ID under that artist, so there isn’t confusion.
