Pepper Adams’ output is not well represented. “The Adams Effect” has the best solo in history (on the first track, Now In Our Lives”). Not kidding. Better than Getz or Trane on Afro Blue or the version of “I Wanna Talk About You” on Selflessness. Hopefully you could also get Mel Tormé’s “I Know Why”, a perfect album from stem to stern.
