show the name of playlist being played

When playing a playlist the name of the playlist is not shown in the player bar at the bottom of the screen or in the queue list. When you leave the Playlist screen it’s just annoying to find the current playlist back if you have many playlists in your library.

I would love to have that!

I spend a lot of time searching what playlist I am listening to.
For me it would also help to be able to click on the name of the playlist to return to the correct overview of playlists or the playlist itself.

Thanks for the opportunity to share these ideas!

Hi Jasper, thanks for the suggestion, we'll pass it on to the right team.

It is horrible, guys, in 4 years you cannot add a name of currently played playlist…

When I play some playlist in desktop browser - I can easily lost it’s name after I close and reopen browser.

Please see attached screenshot.

There is some kind of workaround if you keep the playlist that you loaded into the queue in the background, then you can click on the Down arrow in the upper right corner of the queue to switch back to the playlist.

But showing the name of the active playlist would be better of course and probably not too difficult to implement, especially if you use the Premium feature in the audio quality settings of syncing your queue in the cloud, so it will not be forgotten when you close the app and restart it the next day. The playlist name might be too long to fit in on the top of the queue, but it could be shown in a popup when hovering it.

Hi bluezzbastadzz, thanks for reply! 🙏
When I click to the playlist album and switch to the list - I can click the small arrow and see currently played Playlist…. but if I click pause and close browser… then when reopen, start playing the song and click to small arrow - the animated icon (“play” button like) does not appear on currently played playlist, so I have difficulty to found it.
If the name is too long, you can hide some part below the ellipsys, handy and useful. 🙂

Alternatively… you can simply create an icon of a playlist 🅿, without any name.
On click appears popup with the name of play list for example.

You save a lot of interface space. 🙂
