I would like to know if ROON will be available soon. I use BluOS and would like to sign up for ROON.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

Our developers confirmed they're interested in developing this integration, however, we can only consider it after updating our existing SDKs - which is a project undergoing during the course of 2021. Stay tuned for further updates by subscribing to the topic, if you haven't done so. Thank you for your support!

Thank you, Ana, for your quick response. I appreciate it. Disappointing to learn that there are no plans to integrate Deezer with Roon. I think Deezer is missing a real opportunity to capture the US-centric computer audiophile community. Roon is like a narcotic for computer audiophiles. Roon + Deezer would be . . . well, you get the idea!

Cheers,

Hi @Anja

I left Tidal when Deezer Elite became available and have subscribed since, however with Tidal now offering both MQA and Roon integration at the same subscription price I am tempted to leave Deezer. I hope like other members Deezer quickly reviews its roadmap for Roon integration or considers providing the same functionality natively within its own software. Having used Roon/Tidal returning to the Deezer/Sonos/Yamaha software is a disappointing experience as a music lover. More information on the timescales and plans for implementing MQA would help. Thanks for listening and the updates.

Any update on this please? I’m happy as a Roon/Tidal user, but believe competition is always a good thing.

I'm new to roon but it was disappointing to see roon integration listed as "Not now" on the Deezer development roadmap.

With Tidal being way too focused on three particularly artists I could never choose to pay for their service, especially now that they've been accused of falsifying statistics and plays of those three artists.

Deezer could be totally positioned to take on a large majority of Tidal's customers and become audiophiles streaming service of choice.

Deezer and roon. please get together for the sake of the music! : )

I had to let my Deezer account lapse after many happy years. Roon is fantastic and they only partner with Tidal at this point. I switched but would happily switch back if Deezer and Roon worked well together. And while I haven't committed to MQA, I'd like the option.

Hi @Anja,

I've seen the update at https://en.deezercommunity.com/news-16/your-ideas-review-1-6793 with respect to integrating Deezer w/ Roon. While certainly under no obligation, is it possible to share some more details around the prioritization? Is it a strategic business decision, a financial consideration, resource constraint, technical limitation, ...?

There are quite a few of us who are fans of both services (I assume a few people at Deezer as well) and wish very much to have an integration. What is Deezer seeing that we are not seeing that is holding this integration from happening... and is there anything we can do to help?

Thank you.

Deezer and roon - yes please

We need to keep this topic alive and pester the powers that be at Deezer for Roon integration. So come on Deezer, what's not to like, more customers, more kudos, put real pressure on one of your competitors (Tidal) and lastly make more profit. Seems a no-brainer to me.

Yes, Deezer on Roon. I dropped Deezer Elite (Hi-Fi) when I implemented Roon. I'm a Tidal Hifi subscriber now but want access to Deezer's better library (for my tastes) and FLOW. Would switch back in a heartbeat, MQA be dammed.

Rumours are that Qobuz might come onboard with Roon, which would leave Deezer as the only CD quality streaming service not integrated with Roon. Would be a big miss for Deezer. I would seriously have to question my Deezer support if this becomes a reality.
