Please let us have the option to stop the app from adding 80 songs automatically to the queue

I shouldn’t have to wake back up to pause play after peacefully dozing off to my own selection of music. It completely ruins the experience. What should be a relaxing experience ends in frustration and restlessness. Somewhere in Deezer HQ user experience lies defeated. A little while ago I’d have never thought I’d even say this but it is so bad I’m actually contemplating going back to 🤢 Spotify.

I agree. This is making me want to switch back to Tidal. I can’t believe that Deezer thinks adding one song means automatically adding all the other songs in the same album or playlist in the queue.

I can see you’re being sarcastic. My main method of finding music is the search function. I’m aware albums and playlists were meant to be played all through since the dawn of time. It’s hard not to notice the 80 songs of different artists and albums queued every time you click play on a searched track which is what I’m referring to. Admittedly these recommendations are leagues ahead of both Apple Music and Spotify. Yet they annoyingly continue to be present regardless of whether you want them at the time or not. Also how many albums are there in your favorites with 80 songs?

My problem is not exactly the recommendations themselves, but how they automatically add to the queue. I would like to be able to:

  1. Click on a song to be played
  2. On another song, click “Add to queue” and expect it to be played next

Currently, right after step 1., I see that my queue is filled with 80+ songs from various artists/albums. This makes it so that when I click “Add to queue” on another song, the song gets added to the *end* of the queue, meaning *after* the 80 songs that were automatically added.

This defeats the purpose of having a queue in the first place… I would like to be able to disable the feature that automatically adds songs to my queue.

I have been with Deezer for more than 6 months, it does not look like they are working on making their product any better.

I am leaving and going back to Spotify.

I think there is something for this I just discovered that when you swipe right on a track it will add it to your current queue right after the song that is being played and each subsequent song added will follow the next added song, meaning they will be in the order that you added them. I just discovered this (like as I am typing this) and am excited about it because I find my self wanting to line up a list of songs quickly - like for a kids dance night and not have to go back to my phone each time to pick the next song or to have the list of songs that I added in reverse order. Hope this helps.

-Cheers
