I have been testing Spotify since yesterday and Spotify connect is soooo convenient, I didn’t expect that !!! Driving the Wiim from the native app is so good and the synchronization between the different instance of Spotify (on the computer, the phone, the iPad) makes it a seamless experience. I’m loving it.

And I have been trying to differentiate the sound quality, but my ears can’t tell for sure. The only thing I can tell is that the headphone output of my SMSL AD18 definitely doesn’t match the modest Fiio Q1 portable DAC (which is in my opinion hardly powerful enough to push my AKG K702) for my desktop setup.

My practice of music is not about sitting still with my eyes closed to justify the price of my équipement. So convenience beats the minuscule gain in quality.

But I’ll regret the Deezer interface, I think it is cleaner and more convenient to discover new sounds

Tidal and Qobuz have too many inconvenient little things for my usage, not worth the increase in quality (that I can hardly hear anyway)

Please add Wiim support. This streamer is a dream for the budget and i bought it for streaming deezer.
now also the logouts and 128 kBit mp3s.
Would love to stay with deezer, but saying “NOT FOR NOW” makes me rethink the deezer thing, although I love it.
Please look into this.

Today wiim mini updated to the new firmware version: 4.6.504752 , when I opened the wiim app it showed me a popup that they fixed the deezer api issue. I didn’t take screenshot, I thought I can see on the release notes section, but at the time of writing still not exist on the notes yet: https://wiimhome.com/releaseNote

I have just started to listen just now while I am writing this post, but will see if logged out and play 30secs of song or not.

I can confirm that after more than half an hour listening never logged out and I even checked time to time within the app Deezer shows my playlists correctly, previously It shows dummy playlist because it was logged out somehow. Good news :)
