"Play Next" Vs. "Add to Queue"

Recently, Deezer had an update that changed the way the "Add to Queue" button functions. It used to add the selected song or album to the end of your existing queue but now it adds it directly after what you are currently listening to, so that it plays before the rest of the queue. The "Play Next" button already exists for that purpose and now both buttons do the exact same thing.

I emailed Deezer support about this and they responded saying: "Add to queue is expected to add the track so it plays before the rest of your current playlist, album, or mix continues (rather than placing it at the very end of the full queue). Play next adds the track to the top of your queue so it plays next."

To me, that sounds like the exact same thing and it seems pointless. It was better before when "Add to Queue" would place the song at the end of the queue. If I want to listen to the song sooner, then that is what "Play Next" is for. I really think they should change it back to being this way.

This is indeed the same thing in both wording and function as I've tried it out. Completely broke the queue feature, basically. Surely this can't be intentional and support just tried to explain the problem away? Really hoping for a fix. If this persists, I'll find another streaming service.

I agree. The “Add to Queue” does not work as I would expect. If I click “Add to Queue”, then I would expect my selection to be added to the bottom of the queue, no matter what’s already in the queue. I hope this will be fixed.
