Play music on Sonos from Deezer App

Luckily I dropped Deezer a year ago.

I was trying to move away from Spotify and trying Deezer as an alternative - but unfortunately I think this is a dealbreaker for me.

The "Not for now" status was set around 8 months ago. Is there any chance this request will move to "Work in Progress" soon?

I've been a Deezer subscriber for many years and I'm very happy with the service itself. However, after investing in a Sonos home setup (Beam Gen 2 + Era 300 surrounds), I'm increasingly frustrated by the Deezer experience on Sonos.

Having to rely on the Sonos app for daily music listening is honestly a poor user experience compared to what Android users get with Spotify Connect. Queue management, playlist navigation and lock-screen controls are simply not as convenient.

I would really like to stay with Deezer, but the easiest solution for me today seems to be switching to Spotify purely because of Spotify Connect.

Can you share whether a Deezer Connect-like feature is on the Android roadmap, or whether improvements to the Sonos integration are being considered?

I suspect that once I start a Spotify trial, I may never come back to Deezer, despite preferring Deezer as a music service.

It's frustrating to see users having to choose Spotify not because they prefer Spotify, but because they prefer Spotify Connect.

I'm coming from spotify, all my home sound equipment is Sonos. It's really frustrating not to be able to play directly from Deezer app, the Sonos app is not as user friendly as the Deezer app and for example it's not possible to save a song I am listening to to a deezer playlist directly (only to the liked songs). I have tried to go around this by installing a music assistant server as a bridge and use the home assistant app… but here also it's not ideal.

I came from Spotify to Deezer with my family to ensure we keep a diverse digital ecosystem and not end-up with only monopolies everywhere. I am overall satisfy with deezer user interface, but this maybe a reason for me to go back to spotify with my family, they are less geek than me and really don't adapt with Sonos app experience.
