Deezer’s “Flow” mode plays individual songs that it thinks I like or might like, and I love it. However, for some types of music, or in some moods, individual songs are not the right granularity. I own one thousand (yes...) physical CDs, ripped them all to a hard disk, and what I often like to do with them is to pick one of these CDs at random and play the entire CD. This is especially good for classical music (where I want to hear the entire composition or concert, not a single movement), but also quite enjoyable for other types of music - e.g., hear one album from the Beatles in full instead of just one of their songs.

Unfortunately, I can’t replicate this experience with deezer. I can play a specific album, but I need to choose it manually. It can’t play a random album for me (or at least, I couldn’t figure out how).

I wish I could ask Deezer’s Flow mode to play me entire albums that it thinks I might like. Even better, I would have liked to go to individual playlists, moods, genere, etc., and instead of just playing the individual songs in it - ask to play whole albums suggested by that playlist/mood/genere. So I can one day listen to random classical albums, and another day listen to random progressive rock albums (for example).

Hey @Nadav Har'El, this is interesting.

Like a recommend a FULL ALBUM option.

I agree with you, we should listen to the full body of work more,

but unfortunateyl it is not the “popular” way to consume music.

Spread your idea around you, if you get a lot of votes, we’ll push it.

I love that the response is that this isn't the popular way to consume music. Maybe, just maybe, that has something to do with the fact that it's not possible to consume music because of the platform.

I agree with this! I switched to this from Spotify because of ethics reasons and use these platforms to help me sleep. Not being able to listen to the music I chose and only what I chose without being given other artists is frustrating! I'm fine with exploring new artists, but not when I'm trying to sleep! Please, I really hope this is actually implemented because otherwise it's back to the drawing board for me to find a better music app again...

Hi there @Lennox

The astoundingly simple solution I’ve found is to make sleep playlists for myself. I have some with music, some with nature sounds, and some with white noise.

I have even taken some of the hand-curated sleep playlists on deezer and customized them to my liking. I found this one to be a great starting point: https://link.deezer.com/s/31iY53mRPbSuBuGCDpQzw

That way I have choices.

Best of luck with whatever you decide!
