I agree. Please can the album art be disabled as a lick screen image. Sometimes it's extremely inappropriate and quite embarrassing.
Thanks for supporting this idea
Hey, I'm in for this album cover disable option. I mention that I think is a good idea to have the option to disable the album cover in Cast mode too. I use the wonderful Cast function on my livingroom, and few days ago I was amazed what horrible covers have some rock albums that my 5 years child is looking at on my tv, using flow function, that is actually very nice for me.…besides this cover issue.
Anyway, thanks for Deezer! Nice toy to have this days!
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience
Our devs are discussing this at the moment. Once we get an update, we'll let you know here
Hi,
So its now June 2020 and with the latest version of Deezer the lock screen still gets over written with Deezer album cover artwork. So what happened we look in to it with developers, was it placed in the too hard basket or no we wont change this functionality.
Honestly it sucks looking at album cover artwork badly blown up to fit entire device screen size...more so on tablets. Its ugly!
Come on Deezer why force this feature on users.
I suspect there is really some backroom deal with record labels to display the cover art on users devices and deezer pockets the advertising revenue.
This has become a deal breaker for me, fix it or i’ll switch back to Spotify.
Going to post this on your facebook page too.
Not Impressed.
Hey
Thanks for your feedback.
That doesn't happen with all Android versions. There isn't any deal to display covers in any way. I'm really sorry that this is displayed to you and that you don't appreciate it - I can definitely understand where you're coming from. From the screenshots, I could say the same.
I'll be forwarding your comments to our Android teams so they can discuss this once more. In the meantime, could you please let me know which Android version you have so that I can collect all data around this?
Hey
I have been trying out Deezer for a day or so and thought I would look into this “feature” of the lock screen showing the album art. I agree I think there should be an option. I have looked into this same thing on Spotify (currently a premium member looking to spend my money to provider that will actually listen to the community) and they don’t seem to care and will mark it basically as “Not important enough” with no comments.
My information:
Phone: LG v40 (V405UA30a)
OS Version: Android 10 (Software Version: V405UA30a)
App version: 6.2.3.96
Thank you for your time.

Thanks for adding to that
I've been discussing this with colleagues and there might be a workaround. You can disable app notifications for the Deezer app in your Android settings for the lock screen. And then you can use the Deezer widget. If this is something you can consider, please let us know
This should be considered. Looked into this issue as well, and it ain’t a good presentation. I don’t mind this actually, as long as image quality is good. But please have this be an option, and have album art disabled by default. I actually come across this stuff sometimes still, and I don’t like it.
P.s. I love Rameses B.
All the votes have been transferred into this idea.
This should be a basic option, I also dislike seeing a blurry ugly low res picture in my lockscreen. Just please, remove the album art, or give us the option to disable it. It's not like most people are not actually paying to use the service, just to be at the mercy of the developers.
Years go by and no solution offered, way to go deezer. The album art is terrible, blurry low res pictures stretched to the whole screen, no option to disable and also some of the album cover "art" is just horrible. If even GPM could offer a disable option, I can't see why deezer can't.
So…by now it‘s 2021 and the option to disable the album covers still isn‘t there. It‘s randomly cropped, it‘s blurry and pixelated due to low resolution. I really wonder what‘s supposed to be „appreciated“ while it looks like I accidentally set a highly compressed gif-file from the 1990s as my lockscreen wallpaper
