I’m just another person requesting this. I’m part of the seemingly large shift of people moving off of Spotify. Or at least I’d like to be. Sadly the release radar on Spotify is what I use the absolute most as I’m always looking for more music similar to what I already love.
Lacking this is the only downside to deezer I have found so far. I really really would love to switch, but just can’t without this feature.

Otherwise denser is the clear winner of the music streaming platforms in my opinion.

@trae this is already in place. Take a look at your homepage and you will see a playlist titled “new releases.”

next to that is a list of suggestions. these and the playlist are all based on the tracks, albums, and artists that you have favorited. they update every Friday.

@GropplerZorn

I don’t see what I’m looking for at all. I see a channel called “new releases” that has a playlist called “radar weekly” along with a bunch of other playlists focused on genres of music it thinks I listen to based on my liked artists. But those are mostly bands I’ve never heard of. “Radar weekly” is full of artists I have never listened to. Seems just the new releases from the most listened to artists on the entire platform. Not new releases from artists I enjoy.

What I’m looking for is /one playlist/ that shows new releases based on artists I listen to regardless of genre.

@trae other than repeating my original comment, I’m not sure what to say here.

you can try searching the topic and reading other threads

I kind of agree with you, this has been a pain point for me as well. I've been using Deezer for a few weeks now, and the single most missed feature for me is spotify's Discover weekly.

Deezer does have several options that are computer generated based on your liked artists (as groppler mentioned), but Deezer does seem to have a tendency to prefer "safe picks".

A lot of their generated playlists try to stay in a very focused narrow category. Which is a little difficult for someone like me who likes a little bit of everything, but ONLY a little bit of everything (if that makes any sense). I tend to only really enjoy one or two songs by any given artist, genre be damned.

I will say though, if you haven't spent much time on the Deezer app, the playlist options do get better. When you first sign up for Deezer about the only data they have are based on the artists you picked.

I think it's more of an issue with algorithms than anything else. Spotify just has a really good algorithm for their Discover Weekly, and deezer's just aren't as good.

But I'm not going back to Spotify... So if at all possible, Deezer please work towards understanding and making something more comparable to spotify's Discover weekly (minus the AI slop of course).

Deezer has a kind of Release Radar playlist called New Releases in the New Releases For You section of your home page:

https://www.deezer.com/en/smarttracklist/new-releases

This one is similar to the notifications you are shown mostly on Fridays in the bell in the upper right corner, but not exactly the same. They also contain recommended tracks and albums besides your added favorite artists, same as Spotify’s Release Radar.

Deezer’s equivalent to Discover Weekly is Discovery, also new on Mondays and can be found on your home page in the Made For You section:

https://www.deezer.com/en/smarttracklist/discovery

It would be nice if you could pin those two playlists to the new Quick Access feature in the left sidebar of the desktop app and web player, but this option is not shown on the playlist pages.

After enjoying New Releases and Discovery every week for as long as I can remember, I no longer see these anywhere on my homepage for the last couple of weeks. Do these still exist?

I posted the direct links to them as well in my last reply, so yes, they still exist. 😉 Or are you on a mobile app perhaps, and the links do not work for you? You have to scroll down to find the related sections on your home page and then also scroll to the right for Discovery.

I’m using the latest desktop app version 7.1.20 from the MS Store, but this may not be necessary to still find New Releases and Discovery.

The links lead me to “page not found”. I do understand what you have posted, however I can no longer find New Releases anywhere on my mobile app or web player.
