It would be great if you could group playlists like into folders

I wonder if this is ever going to happen...my boyfriend won’t switch from Spotify unless he can put his playlists into folders!

I've been on Deezer for a couple of weeks now and am already considering a different service because of the issue with organizing playlists and all the bugs I keep running into. I thought this was a well established streaming service... Perhaps I was mistaken.

I left Spotify for ethical reasons and so far - the only thing Deezer is better at (for me personally) is the music quality. Most of everything else (especially user interface) - Spotify wins. I won't be going back there though, but I probably won't stay here either (unless the Deezer team comes out and addresses this).

I'll give it another week or two, then me and my partner will find a different service.

Bumping this. It's crazy this isn't a feature in 2026. 8 years after this post was made.

This is an old thread so not much hope of any features being added but… what about hashtags to categorize playlists based on mood/genre?

e.g. if I add #instrumental to a playlist, I could sort all my playlists by that hashtag and see only the instrumental playlists. I could also add #downtempo to the same playlist.

Currently, I just add the word “Instrumental” to any playlist but a sorting hashtag would be better so I could add multiple without crowding up the title of the playlist.
When I search for “instrumental”, I get playlists from various genres: classical, jazz, downtempo, drum and bass, etc. that don’t have lyrics. Having multiple hashtags per playlist would be better.

So, if I click on #downtempo, the instrumental downtempo playlist will show up but also those with lyrics.

I could add any hashtag I want, e.g. #roadtrip, #sexy, #trippy, #progressive, #fusion, etc.
