Just do it. 😉 Might be a Premium feature perhaps if it costs too much server space and/or bandwidth. And please add internal Last.fm scrobbling to uploaded files, too (works with browser extension Web Scrobbler in the Deezer web player which cannot stream FLAC though). Would be great if we could listen to these FLAC files in any device as well, not only in the desktop app which allows HiFi streaming.

Google Play Music and Amazon Music allow this as well, but convert them to MP3 afterwards, not sure about Tidal or Apple Music (with ALAC files), Spotify cannot upload any files anyhow, only play local files on your device:

It isn't on the plans for now, as we've got other exciting features coming up this year but things can change pretty rapidly @viviano - because of your comment I've also asked our devs for an update. If anything comes up, we'll be sharing here in the community :v_tone2:

Hello, I'm from Brazil and I would love if I could upload my flac files. I renamed the flac files to mp3 and I could upload them and they are playable on the android app but on the web player they aren't but I don't know if the files are really lossless when I play them on my smartphone because I don't if the used decoder is for mp3 or flac.

I asked Rudi this very question a few days and he brought this thread to my attention. ;-) Yes, this is definitely a good idea and gets my vote. :-) I don’t think anyone really wants to “down convert” their flac files into a lossy mp3 format, so let’s see if we can get the ball rolling on this initiative. :-)

Yes, we definitely need this. I asked Rudi this very question a few days ago and he brought this thread to my attention. :-) It makes a lot of sense and I don’t think anyone really wants to “down convert” their flac files into lossy mp3s. ;-) It gets my vote and hopefully a lot of others will vote for it and we can get the ball rolling on this initiative. :-)
