When we hover over the recommended artists, we can play sample songs that could be used as samples. For example, we can take the preview of Daft Punk's sample track 'Get Lucky.' This way, this feature makes it easier for us to get to know the groups or artists. Additionally, artists can recommend one of their own songs to users as a suggestion. :D
