I agree @OMAR_NAHIM, we're a bit behind. But we managed to recognise this last year, thanks to the support of users like you. We're currently not actively working on this, but it's on the cards for this year, once some of the big features we're finishing, get completed. Thank you for your loyalty and patience

I know Deezer comes preinstall on the fitbit and allows you to listen offline

Yes @C E C.

We have a partnership with Fitbit :thumbsup_tone2: thank you for your support, hopefully we can improve the integration with the Apple Watch as well.

I’m also looking forward to this feature. I prefer to work out with music downloaded on my Apple Watch.  Please give us offline mode on Apple Watch.

Love you guys. Like the app. Huge fan.

But … I consider joining Apple Music, simply because it allows you to download music to the watch and listen offline. All that for the same monthly payment.

Please make that feature available.

Many other non Apple apps do that as well. Audible is one of them.

Hi @JVF thanks

Apple Watch and more features is one of the big topics for our partnertship team this year but unfortunately we do not have expected dates of integrations - sorry about that.

Come on, Deezer…. us runners NEED to be able to listen to Deezer music on our Apple IWatches without the need to bring our IPhones for a run. This is a service so many of us have asked for, for SO long now - you need to upgrade your services… PLEASE!

We like Deezer the best, so please don’t make us use another music service, just because of this lack.

This is truly awful. I only bought an Apple Watch to listen to music out running, reminded me of the old iPod nano which I used to love so much. Forked out the extra for cellular connection aaaaand…. no Deezer. Come on guys it’s 2020. I hate Apple Music, but here I am signing back up to it after all these years, and deleting my Deezer account, while moaning to all my friends about it!

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us @Owen_e_t we like wearables too, and we'd like to develop this bit, we just haven't had the time and resources yet. Your feedback certainly helps to move the ball forward, so once more, thank you!

Subscribe to the forum so once this gets implemented, you'll get a notification and then you can consider enjoying Deezer again :v_tone2:

@Rudi I guess the really frustrating part is that, not only has this not been implemented, but also there is not even a rough timescale for implementation. Indeed it sounds as though it’s not even been approved as a project yet? I think this is going to be something that you need to give more serious consideration to in the very short future, from a business perspective. Increasing numbers of people are getting wearables like the apple watch, and Deezer could very quickly slip out of favour. Even Spotify are very nearly there with this (though even they are behind where they should be!). This forum has been open for years, and it also doesn't look good that Deezer aren’t listening to their customers. Just saying.

Hi, @Owen_e_t!

Sorry about all that. From my interactions with the Deezer staff, they seem all really busy, though that shouldn't be an excuse for this not getting a step further (in terms of what this post is about).

I will give this a while, and if no further progress, I will bring this up with the appropriate departments at Deezer.

They got a lot of work, and I don't want them to overflow in tasks, though, I can get this considered as it is definitely something worth going for.

Music streaming should be something anyone should be able to access easily, regardless of devices they use. I fully support this post, and will do anything to have something this helpful implemented!

Thanks for bumping up this page.

I have to agree with Owen_e_t! This feature  has been a wish for many years, but all we hear is that we are looking into that, we are busy etc etc. I don't get it, apple music (ofcourse) has got this working, as spotify does. In fact, if you download music in iTunes you are able to sync with the apple watch and use it without the iPhone. So the protocol is there, it seems that Deezer just isn't interrested in making it work. And that is to bad, to put it mildly.

Hello @Sander-Tmobile, long story short, we had a Questions-Answers session on the French Community, during which our superusers got to meet (online :mask:) some Deezer staff members from various teams, and this was one of the topics that was discussed. This is obviously something Deezer is not only considering, but working on too. Our teams have been busy studying the technical possibilities offered by the device and chances are they will be able to work on the development of a standalone app during the next quarter.

You’ll find more about this Q/A session on this (long) article. This is something that was tested with the French Community, which is smaller than that one. The outcome was so positive that we’re planning to do the same with the English-speaking Community as well

Hey,

I decided to take apple music for 3 months. in the meantime I will wait and see if you will offer the function and if not, I will switch to apple music. especially annoying that deezer does not become discrete while this has been going on for so long. then there will be no excuse left!

Tim

Thank you for your honest feedback @Tim Kalverla - we haven't forgotten about this, it's in the backlog, so please subscribe to the thread so that you can be kept updated with any progress we may share in the future :v_tone2:

Hello, I have an Apple Watch series 5 cellular and I want to know if I can listen to the music of my deezer on the watch without having to have the phone nearby, call Apple and they tell me that if it is possible that when I access the application on the watch, it  you connect through the internet and therefore is it possible to listen to music without problem?
thanks

Hello guys,

Do you have any update on this? I’d like to be able to hear the music from my apple watch without the phone!

I used to work there in Deezer until nov 2019, best place ever! Say hello to the core back team!

Luis

Hey @lgarelli

How's everything? I'll pass on the regards to the team.

The idea is currently part of our backlog and we haven't started developing yet. But I'm confident it'll be prioritised once we get some other planned features out of the way :v_tone2:

I was told be a Deezer rep that it was never likely to happen. It’s Apple putting up the blockade. They won’t allow it to happen. You can put any song that you own through Apple or one that is in your iPhone library on your phone.

I was able to download deezer songs to my Fitbit with a paid Deezer subscription. It was really handy.

Hey @Matt.Clark

Thanks for reaching out.  Our integration with Fitbit is a good one, yes.

I appreciate what you've said, but I have good news, we're working on developing our Apple Watch integration as a standalone. It's early days at the moment but I'll keep this thread updated as soon as I have more info :fingers_crossed_tone2::grin:

That would be nice to be sooner than later. I have started looking into Apple Music it’s very similar in price and there are more songs there. If this doesn’t happen sooner than later I might have already switched over.

Hi Rudi,

This is Great News!! We were about to switch our Deezer Family subscription to Apple Music as exercising outside with a watch and a phone in this day and age isn't really an acceptable solution. Yes some people will carry their phone but with the Apple Watch you can leave your phone at home, except for listening to music through the Deezer App 😏

You can even leave your wallet at home...
