I am an avid user of Deezer and appreciate the vast selection of music and podcasts available on your platform. I am reaching out to suggest an enhancement that could significantly improve the experience for users like myself who utilize the Elgato Stream Deck for content creation and media control.

I have noticed that while other music services such as Spotify and Apple Music offer integration with the Elgato Stream Deck, Deezer currently does not have a plugin available for this device. The Stream Deck is an invaluable tool for many creators, allowing for seamless control and management of our digital environments.

The addition of a Deezer plugin would not only enhance the functionality of the Stream Deck but also provide Deezer with an opportunity to expand its presence within the content creator community. It would enable users to control their Deezer music directly from the Stream Deck, creating a more efficient and enjoyable workflow.

I believe that this integration aligns well with Deezer's commitment to innovation and user satisfaction. I, along with many other Deezer users, would greatly appreciate your consideration of this feature request.

Hi @abdulrahman hasan, thank you for your suggestion.

At the moment, we don't have plans to implement it, but we'll consider the number of votes this idea receives, and who knows, it might be considered in the future.

Your input is valuable to us.

please!!!! I don’t want to go to spotify, but I really need streamdeck implementation!

Hi all,

I am Pedro Duarte: a software engineer writing from sunny Portugal.

I actually created a small app for Windows and a profile in Steam Deck to control sound directly in the Windows Deezer app. It actually bypasses Windows and control the direct output from Deezer app.

It is perfect to work with Stream Deck and actually send sound-only to Zoom meetings as background - so nobody distresses with the loudness. :)

Reach out through here or via my professional email (pedroduarte.professional@gmail.com) if you’re interested.

It sells for €29,70.

Cheers,

pedro.

You should post it for sale on the Elgato Stream Deck marketplace:  https://marketplace.elgato.com/stream-deck/plugins  I’d be much more likely to pay for it if it was offered through the marketplace and passes the Elgato software audit.

Hi Dave,

Thanks a lot for the tip.

I will definitely dig into it.

Will keep you posted.

Kind regards,

pedro.

+1 from converting from Spoti

Stream Deck plugin would be great. Or maybe there is an API we can use to implement this ourselfs?

Created a forum account just to say that this is a good idea. Anyone with content creation workflows would greatly benefit from an API, or even just an official stream deck plugin.

Yes, I support this motion. It’s a good idea! Like, what are we even waiting for? Christmas?

I found a workaround. With another profile *sigh* (not by me: https://marketplace.elgato.com/product/windows-11-essentials-50dc0088-94af-440a-bfc3-89cf0390cc5e ) I was able to get some media control keys for previous, play/pause and next song. But it’s randomly controlling the media players. This means also that when I have Deezer running in the background, and watch Twitch livestreams or some YouTube videos, the media controls will target the last focused media player, which can randomly be Deezer, Twitch or YouTube. Therefore there is no consistency.

So a plugin for a direct control for the Deezer app would be better. And with some more advanced features, that the Spotify plugin has. Just as a baseline.

Also it would be nice to see the current track playing (maybe even with the track/album cover) on the Stream Deck. Now imagine that for Deezer.

I know this is 1 month late. But i found a work around so you can directly control deezer without youtube or anything else interfering. I will post the link here.

https://marketplace.elgato.com/product/sound-deck-131c7cee-6a63-4e89-840e-156b0d17c0bb

You just click on it and set it to play/pause, Skip next, Skip previous. And under you can write Deezer and it will directly control that. Haven’t figured out the volume yet but will give you a headsup if i come to a workaround on that.

It’s really frustrating, I’m really considering using the only platform that support streamdeck, it’s really useful to see the current played song directly on your streamdeck and have availabilitt to like/skip, ect.

Hi you really need to take care of this. Streamers show their music streaming platform on their streams and they all use Stream Deck. They want to throw playlists or songs on buttons so by not supporting this platform you throw free publicity to Spotify and Apple Music.

Already people here are voting but most users will just give up and use what works with the stream deck. The ability to bind what is currently playing and bind playlists or specific songs to a button is INTEGRAL.

I understand that the reason they don’t have this implemented is because you’re not supposed to use licensed music on streams but StreamDeck isn’t JUST for streaming, sometimes it’s just ease of different applications.

I use my StreamDeck for programming, I’m not a streamer.   I use it for templating, macros, time tracking, etc and play Deezer while working.   There are plugins for all the other music services, why not Deezer?   I use Deezer because of it’s better flac format and never want to switch to Spotify, but Spotify is always the first to be compatible no matter what the device is.

Deezer, keep up with the competition!

As more streamers bail on Spotify because of their poor ethics and exploitation of artists, some gaps, (including this one and Discord integration) might be your opportunity to snag market share. I hope you’ll reconsider.

Does Deezer at least have an API or something, that someone could write a plugin?
I wanted to switch from spotify but having a StreamDeck shortcut is so deeply integrated in my current behaviour (also not a streamer, I do use that for working - and simply just cut music when I got a call or something), that I dont want to miss that. Besides of not having playlist-folders that could be the final dealbreaker...
