Deezer Discord rich presence

Can’t wait to see this feature. Started to using Discord and I like how people show their songs there via Spotify.

Another idea to bolt onto this possibility. A Deezer discord bot that you can control via the “Deezer control” Function. This would be a bot of its own kind, allowing users with Deezer+ (Premium, family, etc) to create a playlist from there phones instead of using commands (e.g. !p, !add)

And maybe use lyric find and have a lyrics go through in a  chat channel on a server that puts the lyrics into the chat so everyone can sing along

Please add Rich Presence for Deezer, please how hard can such a simple little gadget be!!

It’s been 3 years, and not for now?  

It’s been 3 years since the feature request, it’d be great cos it would promote deezer more, and discord would work on it if deezer would reach out discord and im sure of it! There’s so many third party plugins now that does this already because they just can’t wait. I hope this would actually be a feature. Can’t wait.

I decided to trial Deezer, as I heard they don’t have song download limits like Spotify. However, Spotify still has plenty of rich social features, like seeing what your friends are currently listening to, and collaborative playlists. One of the most important social features has been a rich Discord integration. These are all features that are missing from Deezer.

I’ve noticed that this request for a Discord integration has existed for over 3 years now, and while the Discord team is more than willing to introduce the integration on their end, the Deezer team has yet to follow through on their end. Social features drive music curation, and with all due respect, we don’t have the understanding why development of a Discord integration hasn’t started yet. We want to hear directly from the development team at least as to why they haven’t prioritized developing the integration yet. The community managers are doing a great job, but they can only do so much to address our feedback. What other features is the development team working on? What are they working on that is preventing them from working on Discord integration?

There are a few songs in my Spotify library missing from Deezer. I’m willing to temporarily shrug it off, but if Deezer can’t bring their social features up to par with Spotify, then I’ll likely switch back.

One more thing, artists choose which platforms to add their music to based on both royalties and discoverability. Deezer pays more in royalties than Spotify, but Spotify has a stronger selection of music partially due to the additional social features that help boost discoverability. If Deezer can bring new social features to put it on par with Spotify, more users will flock to Deezer and more artists will put their music on Deezer. The two variables of users and amount of content are directly correlated, but will only continue to grow at this point if Deezer finally puts its social features on par with Spotify.
