I’ve seen there is already this question out there, but when will Deezer resolve the issue?
Big issue - Deezer doesn’t continue playback of the shuffled songs or playlist you last played before app closure. It’s really frustrating that you have to shuffle again and listen to tracks you’ve recently listened to when you reopen the app. I’m considering going back to Spotify for this reason.

Even for those who do not agree. As an on/off option is always valid!
Go!!

@Loopy75 I merged your topic into this existing idea 🙂 We are already testing it 🙂 I don't have an ETA yet, but we'll you you know here once we have any details. If everything goes to plan, hopefully very soon 🙂

Hi,

I am trying out Deezer (premium) to see how it compares to my current (premium) spotify account.
So far i do like it. Nice and easy UI, good assortment of songs, Flow etc.

But there are things holding me back from switching.

1) The syncing between devices.
This function I use a lot.
If i am on my computer doing some fullscreen stuff, I use my phone to remotly control spotify.
It is way easier to quickly add songs to your favourites/playlist, skip a song, switch playlist etc. instead of keep switching between screens/programs on my computer.

Also when I use spotify on my Google Home I can quickly add a song that i hear to a playlist via my phone.

2) Talking about Google Home, when will it be integrated into other countries?

These two points are a huge miss and dealbreakers for me.
Is there any news on these features?

With Syncing between devices I mean exactly the same as the topic starter says.
On spotify it's called Spotify Connect.

You will see exactly the same song and playbar on each device you are logged in.
So while listening to a song on your pc, you can use your phone as a remote control to for example skip a few seconds of the song or change a song.

It will also show a list of available devices.
For example tapping on "Your phone" in the list will play music through your phone speaker.
Tapping on "Desktop" in the list will play music on desktop.
Tapping on "Livingroom" in the list will cast music to livingroom speaker (This function is already available in Deezer).

Hello,

I used a feature frequently in Spotify that I really miss in Dezzer which is to continue my list of songs from where I stopped on different devices.

When I'm listening to music on my smartphone and pausing to listen to the computer, I can not.

It's a suggestion for improvement that I think is very important.

Thanks.

Hi guys, sorry bit late to the party. We are slowly working our way through all of your great ideas ;)

We have forwarded this feature to the relevant team and they have told us that we are working on this and hope to have this implemented ;)

Hi,
It's been almost a year (!) since your reply. Any updates on this? It seems pretty clear that lots of users are interested in this feature, so why is this being ignored for so long?

Coming form Spotify to try the service this week, I'm quite surprised Deezer does not offer such (basic) feature...
And users are asking for a year now.
Wow.

Also camed form spotify to Deezer hifi and lack of this (basic) feature is realy uncomfortable. Any progression?

Hi,

If I accidently close the app, the queue I carefully crafted is lost. It would be nice to have the same queue after restarting, not the default one.

Thanks

I know there is an app for Chrome, but is not it better to do it natively? Having to install the application, having a native APP for windows 10, adds step and the UX stops being nice for those of us who are users.

Hey @Cristopher

Thanks for the feedback. It's always better to do it natively, yes. But it will take some time to get to that level and having a multiplatform app at the moment makes it easier to get deezer available to everyone.

Is there any chance or any future project to add Music Continuity feature (like the one in Spotify that let you quit the desktop music and continuing listening the music on the phone app). Is anyone interested like me to have it on Deezer too?

Hi there @MarcoG thanks for your suggestion. Please vote for the idea here! 😉

Hey guys. A big fan of deezer. However, this feature needs to be done quickly. Its been a year. Actually, this missing feature might be one of the reason I’m switching back to spotify. However, I’m willing to wait (but not long) for this feature. I look forward to it. Its easy if I can control remotely. Thanks. Sorry if this sounds rude but its been a while to wait.

There is a new feature of synchronising the queue on all devices which should do what the original poster suggested. The option can be found in the audio settings in the player.

I hope this makes sense - I’m useless at explaining myself, but here goes - As long as you don’t come out of a playlist, it will carry on from where it left off once you start using Deezer again, but I rarely just stay listening to one playlist all day long so I wish I could jump from playlist to playlist and have them all still on the last song heard. I’m sure this would help with the shuffle problem as well.

If there is already a way of making this happen, please tell me how to do it, because the only way I can (eventually) listen to a whole playlist is to set the tracks alphabetically and then try and remember which song I listened to last.

I hope I understood you correctly. I've moved your comment here so that you can check our newly implemented idea. If you haven't found the option in your app's settings or if you have feedback to give, please let me know 👍🏼

Sorry, I’m not talking about using different devices - I’d just like to leave a playlist, listen to another one, then be able to go back to the first one and carry on listening to it from where I left it - all on my phone.

Is it possible to continue playing the music on my laptop from where it stopped in my phone?

If so how?

If not, that’s a major feature to stay in Spotify.
