Automated recommendations on mobile

The Desktop application has an automated recommendations feature which I think is very much like a song radio feature that the competition uses. And with the fancy algorithm that Deezer uses, this could be a very powerful tool to discover new music. I have discovered and loved new music with this cool feature alongside the FLOW that we have.

Deezer is awesome, I wish i had known about it earlier. But one thing bugs me about it: The mobile version does not have this automated recommendations feature (if it does, I'm not sure how to activate it). This could be very cool if you dedicate, say, a playlist to indie rock, and then have the automated recommendations add extra music to that playlist similar to the music already in playlist once it has finished; a customised FLOW of some sort.

What do you guys think?

    Automated recommendations on mobile would definitely be a great addition.

    Deezer is obviously used quite frequently on mobile. This is an issue that doesn't affect every workflow, it also is important to note most existing people will skip over this with a slight frustration but not really look it up since there is a different recommendation feature. This suggestion thread is also impossible to naturally discover through search on Google.

    So please consider: This is a quality of life addition that needs to be considered for traditional user flows - especially important for user conversion (aka reducing drops off rates). This will have a somewhat noticeable conversion rate impact due to sense of familiarity (ahem, this equals ARPU will go up). It is trivial to implement and I know quite a number of people that dropped Deezer because of this missing.

    I returned to this thread cause I'm considering Deezer due to Spotify and TIDAL having issues with misappropriated artist profiles and AI music that Deezer does not, but this is still a major issue for me to use the platform because I'm autistic and don't wanna change my user flow. I'd be glad to expand on this discussion, there's plenty of reasons why this should get implemented.

     

    I’m in the same exact boat as Alyx. I swapped from Spotify to Deezer due to AI music being unavoidable. Not being able to access the automated recommendations on mobile is a deal breaker. I really hope this gets fixed soon.

      I recently switched from Spotify to Deezer and I'm genuinely surprised this feature isn't available on mobile yet.

      This is a dealbreaker. When I choose to play a song or album on my phone, I expect the music to continue—not stop in silence. It's such a basic feature for a streaming service in 2026.

      Please bring "Automated recommendations" to the mobile app. It already works perfectly on desktop, so the functionality exists.

      I'd love for this to be addressed quickly, but given that users have been requesting this for 7 years and their concerns have been largely ignored, I don't have much hope. I think I'll have to explore other options like Tidal or Qobuz.

        I don't think so. There are customers asking for this 7 years ago.

        I guess a lot of users are waiting for this feature to be implemented.

        I used to be on Spotify but always have wanted to switch to Deezer This thread started years ago and even in the last few days people are still commenting. I remember reading this conversation months ago but this time I’m commenting because I guess one more comment could help.

        Please add this feature. I only use Deezer on my phone, not on my laptop because it’s more convenient, meaning I can’t access the recommendations feature at all and this is very frustrating - it’s a great way to discover new artists and songs. 

        It already exists on dekstop, so it would only need to be added on the mobile app.

          I guess this means we'll never get it. Such a bummer because I had such high hopes for Deezer when I transferred from Spotify. In this day and age, automated recommendations based on a playlist is a standard and a must. 

          Will need to start looking at other services after my trial period :-\

          I can’t believe this feature doesn’t exist on Deezer. Do yall want me to crash my car? I can’t be looking for new music if my playlist or the album I’m listening to ends while I’m driving, that’s dangerous! Please add this basic a$$ feature, the people have only been asking for 8 YEARS!!!

          I don’t even text and drive, so that was a joke lol But seriously add this feature, bc I don’t like driving in silence alone with my thoughts ;)
