Oi @Edilson Leiva

Not yet, but it hasn't left our plans. This is something we definitely want to work on, but at this moment in the year, we've got other priorities - in order to provide a more robust product in any case. And your feedback still makes a difference

You should be able to open search play songs with the premium on phone or headphones by a smartwatch by just saying open Deezer

I would be using bixby off the Samsung Galaxy smart Watch to open these play a song of my choice without even opening or touching my phone or my watch all under voice control

Will there be a deezer support for Samsung active watches within a few weeks? Otherwise I will cancel our family subscription and switch to spotify or tidal.
Thanks for your fast reply.

Hey @fra.mai @Katja Schmid this isn't being developed as we speak, but we're waiting for more news to see what will still be coming this year. I kindly ask you for more patience :thumbsup_tone2:

I can't believe you guys have put this on the back burner this long. This is going to end up being like the two year wait for dark mode. Lol you're music selection is great. Apparently your developers suck. I'm a beta tester and I only get updates every two months. Not to mention you say you want gapless playback yet in my developer options I've had Crossfade for over a year but it still isn't implemented into the app. Good luck guys waiting on this to come to tizen os. Slowest development team I've ever seen. Maybe in 2025 you will have support for every smart watch is. Haha not counting on it.

Let's hope it doesn't take that long @Joe.Perez :zipper_mouth:

But thank you for your honest feedback, I'll be forwarding it to the right teams here at Deezer.

This is ridiculous, I’m subscribed to deezer family. I just purchased a Samsung Active 2 only to learn there is no deezer app for it, was very surprised. I’m going to look into Spotify later.

Hey @Deejay Soulja Slim

We wish you didn't have to look for anything else - but we haven't got this sorted yet. Thank you for your feedback, it'll be forwarded :v_tone2:

@Rudi is there any further news on this? You have direct contact with the app devs right? Can you at least let us know whether they've started, and if so, how far through they are.

The app doesn't need to be perfect, just a copy of the existing one for google gear would suffice, just something basic so that we stream audio from the watch would also be fine. Add more options later.

With the long delay to implement dark mode and gapless playback (compared to other services) its pretty hard to love Deezer.

I don't really see what more there needs to be done to other areas of deezer that warrant delaying this further.

The lack of communication, updates and constant brushing off ("we're looking into it") also doesn't help.

Give us something concrete man! please~

They have too much work increasing 2K limit (which requieres starting from 0) , song as alarm or ringtone, fix bugs, linux app, this one, etc. And now that spoty has no limits of favorite songs, I think deezer is working harder to catch competition

Hi @captainboobles

Sure, we understand where you're coming from, and I'm personally very grateful for your input and patience. I'm unable to give you something concrete at the moment because the team isn't currently working on the development of this. We've had serious challenges this year with the existing apps and integrations, and other things like @walker mentioned that took our resources away from it.

What I know is that we'd like to develop more wearable integrations this year because you and other users have been asking for this for quite some time. So we know it's a really cool and useful integration/app to have. We just need to finish some stuff first in order to be able to prioritise other exciting developments like this :v_tone2:

I bought wear os watch yesterday, I installed the Deezer app and when I open it it's says connection lost. What should I do to fix this? I tried to restart the watch reinstall the app, it doesn't change anything.

Love this reply as this is a key factor in me choosing Garmin or Samsung as my next wearable. I have garmin and I am thinking to try samsung now.

Hello @Clinito, we do have a project with Samsung, our teams are currently working with the manufacturer to figure out the best way to manage this integration. We’ll keep you posted on the Community.

Have a nice day!

Hi Kevin / Rudi,

So are you saying that Deezer are now actively working with Samsung to include the Deezer app on Gear watches?   I am very keen to know that answer to this as I (like many other Deezer users) am getting so frustrated by the lack of progress that I am about to close my family Deezer account and move to Spotify as a result of the lack of app on the Gear Sport watch.

I have loved Deezer over the years but I am at the stage where my children are putting so much pressure on me to change the family subscription to Spotify due to this lack of functionality on samsung watches.  They used to like and be proud of the fact they were on Deezer whilst their friends were on Spotify and persuaded some friends to transfer over to Deezer.  Now they are starting to get embarrassed about it.

Seems pretty poor propositioning if you are losing a section of the younger generation of customers due to being so far behind competitors in dealing with Samsung.

Hello @mreid133, yes that’s the case. To tell you all the story, we’ve organised with the French Community a Question-Answer session between the French superusers and some Deezer staff members from various teams, it was a success and this is definitely something we’re planning to do with you guys as well.

The Samsung wearables topic was discussed, and as I said above, a team of ours is currently working with Samsung to make this happen. However so far this project has had a lower priority over other improvements or features, and some technical challenges came up. But after the QA session and the enthusiasm that was shown to our teams, I think the chances of this happening have increased a lot.

I thought what you wrote about your kids is very sweet and interesting  It reminded me when I first got my Deezer account back in 2009 when I was something like 16, still have it now. Tell them Deezer says hi and thank you for their support

Thank God although if this isn't implemented by the end of the year I'll likely cancel my subscription of nearly five+ years and go to an app that will run tizen. I mean tidal has an app and they have only been out a few years. The Deezer development team is really slow going when it comes to improving the app and adding features. For instanceIinstance had Crossfade in beta for a year now and yet isn't in the normal app. Another instance is the nearly three years it took to get a dark mode.

Staff size and economic resources aren’t the same. Tidal is maintained by some singers, and Spotify is nº1 when we’re talking about paying users; that means more money for investment  .
But i will tell you some differences, Tidal HiFi is more expensive than Deezer HiFi, Deezer also has lyrics in almost every song and paid better than Spotify, which doesn’t have HiFi at the moment.
I think there is no winner in this battle, every music platform has its strenghts and weaknesses.I don’t discard that one day one brand will buy another to incorporate experience and knowledge.

Regardless of the excuses made on behalf of Deezer, the amount of time it took to implement popular changes that have been available or working for a long time on other services (dark mode, gapless playback, user to user song sharing / notification) is unacceptable.

I don’t have any real faith the app for Tizen will come in the near future (if this year) and thanks to the lack of clarity, communication and resolution with regards to these previous issues, all I can say is thank you for the memories Deezer, I’ll be moving to Spotify Premium as of my next billing cycle.

I enjoyed being the odd one out for a while

Good luck for the future everyone!

Gello @captainboobles, sad to see you go, I do appreciate your honest feedback and the support you’ve provided us for a while. We indeed have to improve our communication with our users, I honestly think that the Community is helping a lot that way, keep in mind that it’s hardly 3 years old and we’re still working on making it better.

Take care!

Hello everyone!

Any news to have Deezer on Samsung Galaxy Watches? I’ve just purchased an Active 2 and got disappointed that Deezer is not available.
