Add the option to save individual equaliser settings/presets

I Use Deezer to hear my music every where and with different devices as the car audio system, HiFi home audio, bluetooth portable speakers etc.

The sound of each of them is different and the equaliser is very helpful. That’s why it will be wonderful if you add the option to save a preset for each audio system to avoid to set it each time you change your audio device.

Hi there, thanks for the suggestions. I passed on to the right team, but I believe that it's not that easy as Deezer has no inbuilt equaliser.

I don’t understand what you say???

Of course Deezer has a builtin equaliser, at least in the mobile app! So yes I think is not that difficult to add the possibility to create our own presets as Deezer propose already some by default!

I think is a very important feature given de the great number of sound devices that we count nowadays!

Hi there @AndiZic

I think what Rafael is trying to say is that the mobile one you see, isn't builtin but a feature that lets you use the mobile phone's one. It's like a shortcut if your mobile is compatible.

But we agree with you that's important, thank you for the feedback :v_tone2:

Thanks for the explanation!

But yes, it will be awesome if you add this feature in your app!

Thanks again.

It’s in the title.

I have headphones and speakers connected to my PC and I would love to alternate between what i listen to through what.

Would love to play around with my EQ to bass boost, or tune music output to my speakers’ respnse near the volume bar, with easy to manage profiles for multiple listening outputs (see my forum post on output selections)

Hi @Ray Stone :)

Follow the steps to activate the equaliser on the app:

  1. Open Favorites Heart_Edited.png
  2. Select Settings Settings.PNG
  3. Select Audio settings Audio_Settings_Deezer__2_.PNG
  4. Use the slider Slider_Download_Edited.png to Activate equalizer (iOS users, you need to click on the arrow next to Equalizer first)
  5. Have a play around with the settings

Any questions, let me know ;)

Hi @Ray Stone,

Can you please tell me what device you’re using the app on? Is Deezer updated to its latest version too?

Hi @Ray Stone,

If you go to the Sound Settings menu on Desktop App, you will see that the Equaliser option is written as Normalise Audio which is pretty much the same function :)

Normalise audio just fixes the volume, it has no equaliser.

Think we are talking about different things here?

i want equaliser to adjust bass and treble frequencies.

Confused by repeated claim there is no inbuilt EQ  the mobile app. True, the Android eq button simply links to the (excellent) systemwide EQ, and the inability to save multi user presets is Google’s oversight.

However, for those using the (somewhat better finished) iPhone version of the Deezer app, there is unquestionably a set of embedded EQ sliders, which works quite effectively within the unavoidable limitations of a 5-band setup.

Bearing in mind the horrible default bias of the iPhone, it would be great to expand this functionality to 8 or 10 channels and allow the creation of user presets. This would also add value to the Android version, as Devs are not tied to the system sound settings.

As someone with specific hearing issues, I need a separate, carefully tailored EQ adjustment for each combination of device and reproduction to make music comfortably listenable, and this would be my personal development priority. Respect.

Thank you for the honest and detailed feedback, @Freezer

I've decided to forward your comments the way they are, to several teams including the Android ones. It's a justifiable request. We appreciate the support of our service too!
