would love a real play queue..
Where you can add songs to be played next without moving away from the current playlist. And returns to the playlist. When the queued songs are finished. This is a real drawback that Deezer doesn't have this feature

especially for android but should definitely be available for all platforms

Hi there, just found this topic after I replied to your comment on the other one 🙂 Can you explain this further? I don't fully understand what you mean by "And returns to the playlist. When the queued songs are finished. "

This is key! When playing Flow, or another Deezer-controlled playlist, I want to be able to add songs to be played next (and then reorder them in the playqueue if I want) -- so that when those added ones run out, playing will resume from Flow or whichever "Sia mix" or similar that was playing originally.

Thanks,
-Renne

Hi @Torrabi @Renne, I have tested this and you can definitely add songs to the queue while listening to a playlist and it will resume the songs of the playlist once the songs you have added finish. Is this what you mean? Let me know if I misunderstood.

This is not possible in the Flow, as you cannot add songs to the queue while on Flow.

Is this what you are referring to?

Hi @Flo.Deezer, yes, at least I was referring to automated mixes such as: 1) Flow, 2) artist-based mixes and 3) automated recommendations which can be selected to be played after a determined playlist. When playing those, would be great to be able to every now and then throw in a favourite song or album to be played next, so that the original automated mix (e.g. Flow) is resumed once the selected track(s) have been played.

Hi @Renne thanks for clarifying ;)

We will make sure your idea is being looked into, it help if you get other users to vote for it 😉

How is this NOT a default feature? Ridiculous that we have to "get people to vote for it" - Every other competitor has the option to add to queue when listening to their recommendations/"Flow" and then have it continue the "Flow" once the song you've added has been heard.

Guess we will just have to use a competitor instead? Is this what Deezer is saying?

It would be great if you could add a song or artist to a flow. Sometimes a song comes that starts a thought or conversation that makes you think of another song or artist. The ability to insert that into the current flow rather than having to quit the flow or not play the song would be really useful.
It would be good if that worked in the Sonos app.

I was just about to create a post until I found this discussion.

Flow is great to find similar songs to the ones we like, but at the moment there is no way to add anything to it. Let's say you're on flow and it's perfectly selecting the right songs for your mood, but you want to listen to a song someone just suggested you next. At the moment this is not possible without disrupting the current Flow's flow.

The new song added with, let's say, "play next" button doesn't have to (and probably shouldn't) affect the flow unless then after listen to it you give it a like.

This would be enough to satisfy us (I believe) and to surprise all the users that have the same issue but that just don't give feedback. Believe me there are many 😉

I would add that what usually happens to me is when I want to add a track to an automated playlist, I search for the song I want, click play, the entire playlist is gone (of course) and I get an entire playlist of the same song I searched for, this could be avoided if you would allow "play next" for automated suggestions / flow / etc..

I have been a long term user of a another well know music streaming service and just recently decided to give Deezer a try as reviews rate music quality over the one I am currently subscribed to where they are more social which is not what I want.

I'm finding Flow much better in than the service I have been using but have noticed I can't queue songs whilst in Flow.

I'm now seeing that this has been brought up years ago and still hasn't been addressed which is something that may make me stick with the service I use who are cheaper and have a this function across their whole application.

Will this be in scope in the very near future seeing as it's something that has been mentioned 2 years ago or so now? If the honest answer is no then I may just stick with my cur3service and join Deezer when it has been developed and gone live.

I'm missing the feature of adding tracks/albums to the queue when playing recommendations as implemented in YouTube.Music.

Come on guys we need this feature. Its been 3 years, now that you have people swtiching over from spotify you cant fall behind.

Id like to know when this will happen too.

This is a major detriment to discovering new bands or songs.

This is my first week on a Deezer trial. At first I ran into this with Flow. I come across a band/song that I like the sound of and think, “I’m going to add a couple more of their songs right after this.” Deezer has foiled that plan. So at that point I decide that Flow is just not for me. That sucks, but I’ll get over it.

Now I’m playing my own playlist. It gets to the bottom and Deezer starts recommending music that it thinks I will like. OK. That’s the whole point of this. So far so good. I hear a song that I like and want to hear more. Guess what? You can’t add a song to the queue! To play it, you have to let it wipe out the progress on your current playlist.

Coming from a long Spotify trial, I can say that even though most things are equal, there are a few things that Spotify does better. At this point, I don’t see myself sticking with Deezer.

Hello everyone! 🖐🏼

We are starting a big Flow rework, to improve the experience and satisfy your needs. 💥

We might not add exactly this feature, but we are trying to find a way to improve Flow in the best possible way.

This requires a lot of work and mostly, a lot of testing!

We have created this group  for users who want to help us, you feedback is crucial for us.

This feature is really basic, add a song to the queue while in a mix or in flow. What does the “not add exactly” mean?

While in flow (or in a mix) I want to be able to play a song I or a friend comes up with without breaking the "flow”, pun intended.
