Thank you, Nina. But my request is to shuffle from the beginning, instead of having to always play the first song to then shuffle. Similar to what you see here in YTM.
Yes, I’ve noticed this too. The shuffle icon choice is ignored for the first song played when clicking the playlist-level play button. I end up always doing two things: Clicking the playlist play button and then immediately the next song button.
Presumably the current shuffle icon/state should be checked when clicking the main playlist button.
I’d love to see this feature on the desktop app. Yes, I know I can just start the playlist, click the Shuffle button, then the Next Track button, but this is 3 clicks, rather than just 1. We should be able to just click a Shuffle button directly on the playlist to start the queue already shuffled.
Hey @bdsa @caliburn @maxkshaw! Thanks for all your feedback and suggestions regarding the shuffle option.
At this moment, the solution shared by @Nina Nebo (where you first play the first song and then toggle the shuffle mode) is the only option we currently have.
I understand how a direct shuffle feature would be more convenient, and we’ll definitely pass along this feedback to the team.
Hopefully, it’s something we can look into for future updates!
Agree that it would be nice if there was a shuffle button. Of course I can start a playlist, then shuffle and then click next. It's not very annoying, but it's not convenient. When I get in my car, start Deezer and start my Favorites playlist, I always hear the same song first.
I agree Deezer needs this feature: a one-click way to shuffle a playlist. There’s another (more upvoted) idea on here that isn’t quite exactly this feature, but Deezer should definitely have the shuffle option described by @bdsa .
