I’m coming from a different music service and porting over my existing playlists by hand. Some of these playlists contain songs that are either a) not available on Deezer, or b) available on Deezer but not in my country.
There’s nothing to be done about (a) except hope those songs eventually come to Deezer. However, it’s still possible (although tricky) to find listings for songs that fall into category (b), where the song is on Deezer but not available in my country.
I would prefer if it were easier to find these listings, but more importantly (to me) I would like to be allowed to add these listings into my playlists as placeholders. When I first joined, there actually *was* an obscure workaround that let me do this, but it seems to have been patched.
Deezer already has a feature to quickly replace unavailable songs in playlists with available ones, so it would be much easier to have these placeholders than track missing songs by other means. (I’ve taken to using playlist descriptions, which works, but is a pain.)
I’m also aware of the ability to upload mp3s, but this doesn’t really resolve my problem because if I fill in a missing track with an uploaded mp3 and then send the playlist to someone else, they won’t be able to play (or even see!) any songs uploaded by me. And I also don’t necessarily have mp3s for every missing song, because I originally found them on a different streaming service.
In general, I’m enjoying my time with Deezer, but this issue keeps coming up as an annoyance. I hope you’ll take it into consideration.
