I allow myself to reopen the subject of Native SwiftUI MacOS app. I think the Deezer team did a good job concerning the native IOS app and I’m really hoping that a native version will arrive on Mac and replace this sh*tty electron app. The advantages would be :

  • Better Performances, native Silicon support
  • Better Integration with MacOS features (playback control, Touch Bar, airplay...)
  • Direct download from the Mac App Store

I think this would not be an aberration considering that ALL of the main concurrent have a native macOS app that perform better and have a better compatibility.

The macOS community has been waiting for these features for too long time now, I don’t want a “good idea we will submit it to our developper team” if you do nothing.

Little bonus : exemple of Deezer doesn’t giving a shit : a guy on this forum gently noticed that the macOS app icon was over sized. The kind of improvement that takes one day to develop and here we are 4 months later with our big icon in our dock.

Please do something.

I agree. Personally, I mostly would like to see a better integration with macOS features. I have Airplay speakers and currently I’m using Airfoil to transmit the audio from Deezer to my speakers. When I was still a Spotify user, I could easily choose my speakers from Spotify Connect.

Also agree on the example of the dock icon. It took me just a couple of minutes to create my own icons. It’s just those little details that could really improve the experience.
