include

Display Explicit Icon Next to Song Title

As of late, I have been adding the clean version of a track when updating my playlists only to find out that I messed up when the track plays in the car whilst driving. An icon would be helpful to identify the explicit one immediately.
Can't tell if it's a radio Edit or dirty edit why?
Hey @Nsima Venomm I moved your question to this idea where a tag for it has been suggested.
I think you should add a type of symbol that tells you if the song is explicit it not. It really is hard for me because I do listen to rap and my family doesn't like swear words and I have to try to remember if the song is explicit or not.

Hey there, I moved your idea to this existing one, make sure you vote for it 😉
I'd really like to see an explicit lyric option. I understand those who don't mind the bad language, but you should give those of us who who don't, the option of filtering them.
Fully agree! Have you tried to listen to “Beast” from Southpaw filtered? I just subscribed to Deezer Premium and am truly disappointed. I might revert back to basic, since I’m an adult and prefer my music unfiltered, with a choice to filter if I need to.
agree with this, this is a function that exists in every other service... also you could go a step further by giving users option to only play explicit/clean version of tracks with multiple versions..
On mobile, I can't tell the difference between clean and explicit albums. The name is too long and album art too small. When going through an artist discography I literally have no idea what album to choose as there is typically 2 to 4 versions of an album that all look identical. Even if I select one to get more detail, there's nothing in the title that suggest it's explicit. Very hard to build my library.

Sometimes, you can't even find the album under the artist's name, you have to actually search for the album, and even then it's almost impossible to tell which is explicit. Here are some quick examples. This is an annoying issue and should be fixed. I wish we could just toggle the view, "Show explicit/hide explicit" then we wouldn't even have to search.

Hi there @Ezk1993

Thank you for the feedback - I like the idea of toggling a button to show/hide explicit content. We're going through our whole catalogue, bit by bit, to ensure all metadata is correct. This will help the explicit/edited content. I'll be passing your comments on to our devs.

Hi Rudi,

This is still an issue. Any ETA when something will be done? At least making it clearer which albums/songs are explicit and which are edited?

Thanks.

No ETA yet, I'm afraid, @Ezk1993. But thank you for refreshing your interest in this, I personally think it's a very good idea. Our Product managers are currently responding to all ideas in the forum once they have progress, so this one is in the queue. Thank you for your support and patience :thumbsup_tone2:

Hi Rudi,

While I am flattered that you like my specific remedy for the issue (I’m partial to it too), I’m really just looking for some solution to discern explicit content from edited content. Right now there is no way to do this except listening to the track. That’s unacceptable and I would really like some fix, whatever it is, put in place. Thanks!

Agreed, @Ezk1993. I'll be highlighting it to our teams.

This is currently my only gripe with the service! Going through and adding albums is much slower than it needs to be as I need to listen to a song from the album to see if it's edited. If you're someone who enjoys hip-hop like myself, it is extremely tedious. The default choice for everyone should be the explicit version, and then show the edited/clean version to those that have opted in to only show clean lyrics or based on age. On every other music streaming service I have used, that's how it's done. Pretty disappointing that this isn't something that's already been implemented as a simple Google search will show you that this is a highly requested feature.

Thanks for the support @vFlawz. I'd love to see this one too, hopefully it can be prioritised - I'll let the teams know about your comments

Hi all,

Proud to say this has now been implemented :sunglasses::bow_tone1::raised_hands_tone2:
