Hey @shadomeson

Thanks for reaching out. Try restarting the app after restarting your computer, it should get back to normal :thumbsup_tone2:

Hiya @STeeL835

Great to hear from you. Yes, I personally like the feature myself, I'll let the teams know.

Are you referring to the community menu? If yes, it's a new one and it should not look big on mobile or desktop. It's supposed to streamline the navigation here :nerd:

Hey @mmhnto

Super cool that you reported this to us in so much detail. I've passed it on, hopefully it can be sorted soon :v_tone2:

Are you referring to the community menu?

No I’m referring to Deezer’s new context menus. Now they look more like modals than compact desktop context menu popups. The menu items look like they are made for touch mode.

Also, playlist covers disappeared, search box in “Add to playlist” doesn’t receive focus automatically, and scrolling isn’t prevented - you can move mouse scroll wheel (or put 2 fingers on a touchpad) and the menu will disappear when page starts to scroll. (I don’t remember if previous implementation handled the last 2 points, but I can’t check, so I can only say that I feel like it did)

  1. Improved UX on artist page. Viewing all songs from an artist is difficult since when you go into list view of albums you can't just expand the albums and play the tracks directly, but you have to access the album page first which can already be accessed from the album title and album art.

Viewing similar artists sometimes bugs and repeats same artists over and over.

  2. Improve the search. For example misspelling a word most of the time results into nothing found, instead make it how most search engines work by providing a suggested edit and results.

  3. Easier playlist access. Add a dropdown option for the playlists on the left side menu if you want to access a playlist faster instead of going through the thumbnail hell and having to type your playlist name if you haven't made custom thumbnail for moderate number of playlists everytime.

Hey, I’m using the windows app for almost 2 years now. But I really had to change to the web app.
On the windows 10 app, the back and forward buttons (from page navigation) simply won’t work. Every time I click on an artist, on a playlist, on an album, I’m never able to go back to the previous page and need to search for whatever content I was looking before.

It seems this issue was already reported several times, but to this day, no solution was implemented.

I got a small annoyance. The notification in the upper right corner (e.g. “We won’t recommend you this track anymore”) is covering the arrow that closes the song queue. And when you’re browsing something else, you can’t press “Don’t recommend” for the track that’s currently playing without opening the queue. So you have to open it, then you have to wait for the notification to disappear before you close the queue.

I was able to solve my probloem. Just updating the app didn’t make the buttons work. But after uninstalling, manually deleting the remaining deezer folders from windows and then cleaning my disk (I used CCleaner for this), and then installing the latest version, the buttons now work like a charm

So please ignore my previous message, it turns out I’m just an idiot lol. :joy::rofl:

Hi All,

Just a warning that my Deezer app is burning gigs of data when i listen to songs that are supposedly downloaded to my local drive. Its occurring on my both my desktop and laptop.

It just went through 5gb of data when i was listening over the past hour. this is crazy. It ate through 500GB of data in 3 days. I have a premium capped fiber account which is ran out of data because of the Deezer app.

This must be a bug.

Is anyone experiencing this issue?

This is why an offline mode switch in the app is essential.
The only work around is either to terminate your internet connection whilst listening to your downloaded data , or block Deezer via a firewall whilst you are connected to the internet.

A few devs have already contacted me back about your suggestions @_Overman and they agree we need to act on it, but they need further discussion to figure it out how.

Thanks for the detailed feedback too @brakbama Search will certainly improve in the near future and Easier playlist access is something we're discussing for quite some time now. 2021 should reflect some of the improvements for our desktop app. Most of the ground work is to be done to the player though, we still need to release gapless, for example

In my experience, Deezer automatically removes duplicates when you add them. So the only way you’d have them is when the same song is in different albums.

Hello Rudi,

Maybe the bui

Yeah, but since often there’s a lot of versions of the same album, you cuold have multiple duplicates of the same song in one list, if you try. I had duplicates in my playlists on multiple occasions. So, a feature like that still could help. Or maybe a box showing up saying: “You already have a song with this name in the playlist. Still add?” or something like that.

FEEDBACK

The “Recently played” window should automatically move the page down (to the bottom) when a new song is added, thus keeping the most recently played tracks and the currently playing song in view in the list.

I don’t think asking this when you’re adding songs is a good idea - you don’t have the opportunity to check/listen before you answer. So it makes more sense as a menu item in the playlist menu, after you add them.

By my count, there’s three “settings” pages -- top left burger menu, top right account menu, and another at the bottom right” which controls audio settings. Is consolidating them something in the pipeline? I definitely can say the Android app is a nice piece of work, but can’t say the same thing about the Windows app.

There’s a lot of other stuff (gapless, CDN issues, bugs here and there) that I won’t go further into. But I am definitely not impressed with the speed features and bug fixes are being rolled out.

Fair point @Ian Cahill that's why we need comments like yours here - this will be forwarded :thumbsup_tone2:

Hello,

I noticed that one of my request from this thread has been implemented (version 5.30.250):

When you click on Queue button in Windows app it sets position to currently played track even in long queues (currently my queue contains 2060 tracks).

Thank you Deezer!

My original request:

Scroll playlist/queue to the position of currently playing track (automatically). I often listen to long playlists (whole discographies - several hours long) and sometimes I have to scroll manually.

Hi there @JohnyV3 @Paulo Magbanua

Thanks a lot for the feedback, top-notch.

@Paulo Magbanua we're in agreement, and our team of devs too. Gapless has been developed since last year, it should be here soon. Bug fixes come and go, that's true. But this year we'll take large strides to improve the desktop client with some major changes in the background. Development work will take time because they're major, but the most important thing is that we're aligned with what you said :relaxed:

Copy Track name - Artist button in share menu

Sometimes you want to share a track in form of it’s info - Artist and track name, maybe album, because links are forbidden where you want to share it, the link is redundant in context, a person can’t/doesn’t want to open it, or simply because it would be convenient. Currently you can’t do that easily - in queue screen (and in other places) text isn’t selectable and you have to re-type it yourself.

It would be convenient if ‘Share‘ modal had a ‘copy’ button not only for links, but also for track name, which would copy name, artist and album to clipboard. Maybe also a link on the next line, if you need that promotion bit, I personally don’t mind, but I see how it can be annoying for some people (like if it was is too loud, on 3 lines - basically an AD, but you pay for it)

Hi All! I think this was mentioned elsewhere as well, so I apologize if it is redundant, but I would love to see an exclusive mode option to get bit perfect playback and bypass the computer audio. Tidal, Qobuz and Amazon Music all have this implemented and at least with my setup the difference in sound quality with it on is very noticeable. Cheers!

Can you brighten the color of the top menu bar on Windows app? I don’t know if this is controlled by you or by the UWP API. I drag the app around a lot and it would be nice if the draggable top bar was a bit easier to see in the daylight. Sometimes it’s the little things :)

Also, is there any way to “follow” progress on the upcoming Alexa skill update?

@STeeL835 Yes I know what you mean, most of the time I do edit it myself and delete the promotion bit to make it more personal. Also like the idea about the title!

We would if we could @jirikovoego - but because our resources are limited to all features that have been requested, it's hard to give the development hours to build an app from scratch. It's not out of the question, but I can tell you we won't work on that for now - thank you for your kind feedback, it's much appreciated:thumbsup_tone2:

Hi @Paolo45 @cheesecycle @3ntry thanks for sharing your ideas. Really some good stuff here.

I have just shared them with Desktop developers. Fingers cross that some or all of them can be implemented in the future.

Hey @Josh.Moore

Gotcha, please vote for the ideas below:

They will help us set up the required platform for that if we develop it :relaxed:
