Hi,

Everything thing to do with Deezer now says that Hi-Fi is now available with the Premium Plan.  Yet there is no option for it in the app on android or in the windows app ?

Is there going to be an update for the apps ?  It seems like for over a month now all the Deezer ads claim that their paid subscription comes with Hi-Fi. I’ve been a subscriber for quite a while, I received the email about Hi-Fi being available on my plan more that a month ago, and yet still no hi-fi option in any of the apps I use.

(Also if anyone knows how I could get Deezer to use Hi-Fi when stream through Alexa Echo dots, that would be great.)
Thanks in advance for any help,

P.S. I Live in Quebec, Canada if that makes any difference.

Current subscribers (Paying subscribers ) won’t get the combo of premium and HIFI . If you want the HIFI you have to cancel your subscription ,wait for the billing date to pass and re-subscribe . then you will get the HIFI (And also pay more as the ad should say )

One you have the HIFI option you can change it on settings and Alexa should play the HIFI quality

That is so Bizarre, why do that ?   I’m not so sure, They already said in their email, I would be getting Hi-Fi and that my bill would go up $1 (CAD) a month….
I’m going to wait, for a while for it to just show up.  I just like my pay date, the way it is and it seems so extreme to cancel and re-subscribe….  The way it looks now though the App option is the same as  its been for some time and the same in the Desktop app.  Funny, one of the main reasons I choose Deezer is I liked their app layout…. I wonder if that will get a big overhaul with this “Hi-Fi,’ update ?
Thanks very much for the answer, if it doesn’t show up in a while I’ll have to Un-Subscribe and re-subscribe….. (Comically I used to have the paid subscription that comes with Hi-Fi, but I cancelled and subscribed  to this one because I couldn’t use that much Data on my phone and I was pretty sure Alexa was just using Basic or High Quality…._)

If you received an email about the inclusion and price increase, you should be able to enable HiFi after your first payment of the higher price, as far as I know.

It is also true that this new Premium tier has not been rolled out to all countries yet, I think that e.g. the U.S. still is on the old separate tiers.

I’m hoping you are right.  I guess I’m just surprised they can tie this into a persons pay date..  Like, I would have thought it would have had more to do with the App or Program you are using. Whether it is capable of the higher res. Hi-Fi or not….

As far I know, Deezer Premium is now the HiFi subscription. It also includes a modest price DECREASE! I used to subscribe to HiFi and a couple months ago after an update my subscription switched to Premium which surprised me. When I went to Subscription Management tab on my phone there were only 3 options of subscription. Free, Premium and Family. In the subscription comparison section below it only lists the differences between free and premium (family is premium service with 6 available profiles on one account). I'm pretty sure it was a change made to streamline and simplify the app and website world wide. I'm from Ontario Canada and I wouldn't be surprised if high fidelity just isn't available in Quebec like many other options in many other services provided by many other international corporations. That's too bad.
