Please provide information on rec.deezer.com.

If this gets blocked, Deezer regularly pops up a faulty error message, to say it can’t  access the internet, while all normal functionality is in working order.

I believe it relates to some of the tracking Deezer has implemented. While tracking is normally bad, I do understand Deezer needs some form of tracking to better provide recommendations. In light of this, can we get a bit more clarity on what exactly is being tracked by services using this hostname? Even better would be a list of Deezer’s background services and their related endpoints.

Hi @Vlekkie I am afraid I don’t have any list of background services as you mentioned. However, Rec is used for technical tracking only in order to improve the user experience.
Thanks :)

Same very annoying issue. Is there any way to remove/block this annoying popup error message ?

I won’t remove my network-wide filter (because tracking is a bad practice, especially when no opt-out/opt-in is possible)

another domain seems also to get involved in tracking and error popup : sdk.iad-01.braze.com
