Unable to open Tune my Music

Hi All,

Sorry if this has already been mentioned somewhere, but couldn’t find the topic before.

I’m moving to Deezer from Spotify, where I have an absolute unit of a playlist (2.5k songs or so), which is very dear to me, and I want to take it with me - I have this problem when trying to open the playlist sharing functionality, the redirect window is constantly loading, and nothing happens. The time to pay for the Spotify comes near and I’d very much like to make it happen before it xDD

I tried to use Tune my Music directly on their site, but I’m asked to pay, since the total number of songs I want to “relocate” exceeds their no-fee limit.

May I ask someone to help me with how to proceed?

Hi @WD2137,

No problem if the question has been asked before.

Normally when using Deezer for the first time you can transfer all your favourites to Deezer.

Like you wrote, you can use Tune My Music for this.

But you mentioned a limit, but did you start Tune My Music while using Deezer?

-Start Deezer

-Go to your settings

-In your settings you'll find a way to use Tune My Music for free

I've used this in the past without problems:

Hi, thanks for reply,

When I go to functions, and choose the Tune my Music option, it does this:

So in this example this has been running as such for the past 2 hours. On the mobile app, it doesn’t even bother with the acknowledgement of my input, nothing shows, no notifications, not redirected anywhere else.

It's weird. I've also tried on iOS without any problems.

Maybe try again tomorrow?

It’s been this way ever since the account has been created on 3 July, so I don’t really think that this will help.

Maybe it has something to do with my territory? But why wouldn’t it just say it’s not available here? Ugh.

Hi @WD2137 please be aware that you need to do it on the Mobile app or Desktop app (available on www.deezer.com/download
All the info here: https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360020762638-Transfer-Music-To-Deezer-From-Another-Service

Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks :)

Hi @WD2137 !

The problem may be that you want to transfer more than 2000 songs to a single playlist. The song limit on a single playlist on Deezer is 2000 songs.

You can transfer an unlimited number of songs, albums, and playlists from Spotify to Deezer, but Deezer has limits on the number of items you can store in your library. Specifically, you can have a maximum of 10,000 favorite tracks and 2,000 playlists. Within each playlist, Deezer also has a limit of 2,000 tracks. If you try to transfer more than these limits, some content may not be transferred.

Deezer content limits:
Favorite Tracks: Deezer allows up to 10,000 favorite tracks.
Playlists: You can have up to 2,000 playlists on Deezer.
Songs per playlist: Each playlist can contain up to 2,000 songs.

Hi @Nina Nebo ,

Thank you for the reply. That is a piece of useful knowledge, I greatly appreciate you sharing it ;3

Still, wouldn’t that information show after I try anything? Right now, I cannot even access the functionality to mark the account, from which I’d like to transfer the playlist, hence I don’t know how it would “know” that the playlist in question exceeds the limit...

Can you still access your Spotify account normally? You seem to be located in Poland, so there should not be a problem, I guess. I’m located in Germany, and for me the free transfer service of TuneMyMusic from Spotify to Deezer still works, just checked in the Deezer desktop app:

Do you use a VPN service perhaps? This is necessary for Russian Spotify users who want to scrobble to Last.fm, but I haven’t heard of problems with Polish users.

@bluezzbastardzz No i don’t use VPNs at all. I think that if I had used one, Deezer would make me pay in the currency of the place I’d be connecting to, which had not happened, as I’m still supposed to pay in PLN next week.  Idk at this point, I’ve tried it on the app, on the browser, on the browser from my phone (still loading without actually doing anything xDDD) I’ve resigned myself to reconstructing my library by hand. Maybe it is the problem with the location, as some licences are not available here, for example, but I’d very much like not to pay in EUR xD

Thank you for the advice ;3
