The "Shuffle my music" feature is getting worse

I have used the "Shuffle my music" feature for many years and have never had any kind of issue.
https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115004269049-Favorites#how_to_shuffle_your_music
In the past, it always added songs from all my favorite tracks, albums, and playlists to my listening queue. It was great, one of my favorite features. Now, instead, it is broken. Paradoxically, it was better when I had fewer favorites, as if surpassing a certain threshold made Deezer's algorithms unable to manage them anymore. Now it seems to consider only the recently added favorites from the last month, which it cyclically replays in a repetitive and annoying manner, while ignoring all my history from previous months and years, which it never selects. This is not normal. It has never been like this until a few weeks ago.
It does not seem like an issue with my devices at all, because it occurs with both the Android App on my phone and the Web Browser on my notebook.
I also noticed "Shuffle my music" in the Deezer Web Browser version used to add 50 songs from my favorite tracks, albums, and playlists to my listening queue until a couple weeks ago, while now it adds only 10-20 songs and it does keep selecting the same ones over and over. Almost half of the songs has always been shuffled the previous time or the time before.
As I said, there are thousands of favorite tracks, playlists and albums it should choose from, but it is so bad and repetitive now. Has no one else noticed this feature has been getting worse lately?
Thanks

…. the Shuffle button just does nothing despite having almost 1000 albums in my favorites….

So if you want to use the shuffle button, nothing happens or it doesn’t work the right way?

Both.  It’s being extremely temperamental.  Over the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed a lot of repeat songs even though I thought Deezer had fixed it a couple months ago.  (See earlier in this topic.)

Today, hitting the “Shuffle My Music” button will do nothing about 90% of the time on all three platforms that I use (Android app, desktop app, web browser).  I did just get it to work on the web browser, even though I had made no changes.  It gave me a normal length queue, but with quite a lot of repeats from previous shuffle sessions.

The desktop app worked once and gave me a queue with ONE song (haha) and didn’t add more after it.

It seems like this problem is not fully corrected from a couple months ago, especially with the repeat songs coming back.

Hi @geo79! Thanks for letting me know about this!

This is actually a known issue, and our developers are already working on a fix.

I’ll keep you updated as soon as there’s any news! 😊

Hi Leonidia,

Your developers have been working on this “known issue” for over a year now, probably longer. No news from you? So if Deezer are incapable fixing this soon I’m cancelling my subscription - along with load of other.

Unfortunately, I can confirm that I am experiencing this same issue lately. ☹️

Honestly, have tech firms given up on testing anything? Deezer is a disaster for this. Do some work, role it out, people complain, we're working on a fix. Months later, nothing.

No - please just stop releasing stuff without a proper testing process.

This has happened so many times in my years of using Deezer. Why do fixes to very recently created issues take months or years to fix?

The only thing stopping me moving right now is an annual sub and the moaning I'll have from family members when they need to move playlists elsewhere. Once the sub is up, that's it though.

This has apparently been going on for years and Deezer is completely unable to fix it. I’ve only been a premium member since December but I’ve had enough, I’m cancelling my subscription, this app isn’t up to a decent standard.

The whole reason I left Spotify is because I would get the same 10 songs in the shuffle and I would hear some of my favorite songs because I did have a bunch of their music in my playlist. Now the same thing is happening on deezer and it's pissing me off
