The search works terribly

I tried to find the song, but even by the exact title it doesn't appear. It's in my favorites list. Even if I enter the artist's name, it appears last in the list.

I agree.

Also, 1 thing I am missing is that the search does not search within the lyrics (like for some competitors)

Hey @hheimerd

This has happened to me before, and what I did was clear the app's cache, and that worked. Review the order of your songs, whether you have them listed from A-Z or by date added.

If I search for it by author only, that's the first option that comes up, so I think it's a problem with your phone.

Hey @FlippyTK

I'm copying @Jaime.Deezer here so he can take it to the developers.

Hi I have tested a couple of times and I could not reproduce the issue as I got the track as the first result on top. I didn’t need to clear cache but I deleted the search history just in case.
Please try to do what @Carlos L Bernard suggested and let us know how it goes.
Thanks

I agree, the search indexing is not strong. A good search should instantly recognize your most-played, recent, and favorite artists or songs, and bring them up first as soon as you type the first few letters. Results should load instantly with solid indexing. On Deezer, the search often takes more steps and taps to reach an artist page or play a song, and it does not always highlight top results based on your history and preferences. Yet, the strength of Deezer is personalization and simplicity, where the overall app gives quick access to songs with minimal effort. The search engine should deliver the same level of ease and personalization.

 Looks like it's fixed, thanks!

I want to add: you guys are selling yourselves short! the search engine cannot find lesser known tracks even if typed in 100% correctly. I have imported all my stuff from the green bad company and you have this song in your database. but the general search engine for all of your database doesn’t find the song and the artist page is a mumbo jumbo of 5 different artists. (the song is Ballet - The Party). I’ve been using Deezer for just a few days now and the import function was incredible, but the search function really isn’t good. I wanna make this work because I simply disagree with how Spotify pays artists + other reasons. Also kind of sad that you only have 2 Michael Sembello songs from a compilation (I mean the guy was huge in the 80ies) but not being able to find songs you actually have isn’t optimal at all. I am a millennial and know workarounds and I am willing to go the distance but other people definitely might not!

Hey, if you cannot find songs, it is probably because they are not authorized in your region or because the artist has decided to remove them from the platform, which is beyond the control of streaming platforms.
