Songkick integration

Hello there. I use Songkick to be aware of concerts in places around me. Songkick can scan some music libraries like Spotify but not Deezer. I think it is great to have concert recommendations based upon my music activity.

Would Deezer plan to develop an integration with Singkick.

Are there similar services as Songkick that Deezer integrates with?

NB : integratiin with Sonos is not working.

These 2 integrations make reconsider Spotify vs Deezer.

This once worked. And on Songkick you can see that the connection is running. I’m wondering why the people at Deezer have removed this or f*cked it up code-wise. I’m also really disappointed that this feature isn’t available anymore. I hate Sp*tify but they handle this a lot better than Deezer :(.

I’m looking to migrate from Spotify and I just found that there is no bandsintown and songkick integration: this is a big problem for me!

Where is this feature, is it planned sometime soon?

@aloftuser, the Songkick connection works (for my band, after I’ve had a private chat with the support team sending them the Songkick ID). There might be some gaps with the interface sometimes.

Please come over from Spotify 😎.

@quintenquist what do you mean by songkick connection exactly? The possibility, for a band, to announce their concerts inside Deezer? Ot the possibility for the Songkick website/app to know which artists I listen to and follow and suggest me concerts?

Because I’m interested in the latter, to continue using Songkick (or Bandsintown) and find my local concerts from the bands I listen to.

The former is not at all practical for me: I listen to a lot of bands and I won’t click on each one page on Deezer, every X weeks, to find out if there are concerts nearby.

@aloftuser , sorry, I might have misunderstood you. So you're looking for an option to scan your Deezer library to check Songkick or Bandsintown in general for shows of artists you like (in an area you've defined), right?

I thought you meant displaying shows on Deezer which have been added to the Songkick or Bandsintown database (that's been my issue previously which has been solved luckily).

I think there's currently no way to scan the library on Deezer. I've never deleted my Spotify account (kept the free version without using it at all; just for administrative reasons) and use the scan that I've done years ago.

It's not the most comfortable way for a workaround but with www.tunemymusic.com you can sync both streaming providers (my favourite bands were also marked as favourites bands on Deezer when I switched) and keep Bandsintown updated (using the retired Spotify account).

Sometimes I don't understand the feature roadmap of Deezer but I'm happy they don't invest in killer drones and have an 4sshs*le as CEO.

I may have to do that, even if I don’t like the option

I agree, that’s also why I’m switching, but this switch is not easy when you’re a heavy music listener which use those platforms to discover a lot of bands and associated concerts.
