Some Feature Suggestions

Hello, all!

First, I’d just like to say I recently switched to Deezer from Spotify and I’ve been LOVING IT! It’s so cool to have hi-fi streaming, and I really like the music suggestion algorithms here a lot better. The platform itself just feels more intimate, there’s something about it I can’t get enough of.

In any case, there are some features I would love to see rolled out if possible! It would really help me in my music curation/playlist building, and it’d make me smile :D

Playlist folders - this one is simple enough, I think! I have 163 playlists (and counting!), and being able to sort them apart from each other would be really helpful, especially since there are so many different genres represented across them. Folders inside of other folders would be cool too, since I just like to be organized ;)

Ability to view what playlists songs are in - this one is something I’ve been dying to have for AGES, in all the platforms I’ve used! It would be so cool to see what playlists I’ve put a song into without having to search each playlist by itself. I specifically use this when I’m making playlists for other people; I like to try and use songs I haven’t used before, and it would make it a lot easier if I could just pull a list up from the song alone!

Improved Last.FM compatibility - I’ve noticed a couple things about Last.FM that sadden me a little bit, and would love to see fixed/added! Though, I suppose these might be issues on their end, not Deezer’s.

The first is that I can’t import playlists from Deezer directly into Last.FM. I can somewhat work around this by using TuneMyMusic to transfer the playlist over to Spotify, then importing them from Spotify, so it’s not TOO big a deal, but it is an extra step.

The other is that I’ve noticed Last.FM doesn’t track all the songs I stream on Deezer, and additionally they usually take a bit to show up, instead of showing up live. The combination of these two things makes it hard to know if songs are being scrobbled or not :(

Sort music library by genre - Similar to how we can go through all our favorited tracks as a list, or go through by artists/albums, it would be cool to be able to scroll through by genre!

Multi-select on artist pages - This would be specifically on desktop. I see that in playlists and albums we have the ability to checkmark to select multiple songs at the same time. It would be cool to be able to do that on artist pages to select multiple EPs/Albums!

I hope this doesn’t come off as demanding or rude. I really can’t convey how much I’ve been enjoying Deezer! These are just a few things I’ve noticed I think could really improve usage, and I would highly appreciate being implemented 😃 Keep up the great work, and thank you!!

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us 😁

When you create an idea please make sure every post contains only 1 idea, otherwise it becomes too difficult for other users to vote. I have changed this post into a conversation, just so you know.

Regarding the folders idea, we already have a couple of ideas in the forum that you can vote!

Here they are:

About Last.FM we will take your suggestions into consideration, maybe our Last.FM expert @bluezzbastardzz can give us more insight on this?

Hi, welcome to Deezer! In case you don’t know it yet, here is a link to the official Deezer Scrobbling FAQ on the Last.fm support forum mentioning some of the  issues with the internal Deezer scrobbling option including tracks that don’t get scrobbled at all or only with a missing ampersand etc.:

Directly importing playlists is only available from YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music, so your workaround with TuneMyMusic is indeed the only possible way to get your Deezer playlist onto Last.fm - or creating a new one manually by searching each track on Last.fm:
