I’ve been using Deezer premium on Desktop for my windows 10 PC and I can’t help but be a little miffed that my playlists don’t automatically shuffle when I hit play. On my mobile phone you can click the play button and it will shuffle if your shuffle option is turned on but on Desktop even though shuffle is engaged in the bottom right of the player every time you press play on a playlist it starts with the first track. It’s not a major issue but it is rather annoying to have to skip the first song every time and then that song won’t come up randomly until the playlist is played through. To be clear, shuffle does work after the first track is selected, but it always starts with the first track of the playlist.

I’m sure it would be a simple fix so please address this.

Hey @Daniel Bouillon

I just checked the web version. In fact: the first song is always played - despite activated shuffle - when you click on the red play button.

With shuffle, I always do it by starting with any song from the list and never using the red button. That's why I've never noticed this behavior negatively.

Workaround for you: Just click on a random song, then you don't have to skip the first song in the playlist. 😉

Thank you @dee_dirk✌🏼

This had been fixed but seems to have come back with the new UI.

Hi @starlightning, thank you for your message.

Could you please confirm if the issue persists at this point?

@Leonídia.Deezer Yep, it still happens.  In the web version of Deezer if you open a playlist, and with shuffle on in the play bar at the bottom of the screen, when you press Listen it will always play the track at the top of the list.

I used to use a workaround where I’d put a short silent track at the top of the playlist, but I can’t do that now since there is no way to manually order the tracks in a playlist, as far as I can tell.

If you start playing a playlist from the Favorites → Playlists (the list of playlists) instead of going into the playlist, then shuffle works fine and doesn’t choose the same first song each time.  It’s only when you click Listen when looking at the playlist itself that this problem occurs.
