search by label no longer functioning

One Hit Wonder

Hello, I am no longer able to search by label, the query is no longer functional for me.  I opened a support ticket, and things are somewhat moving along. Is anyone else having this issue? The search query label:”label name” returns no results regardless of label, even if I search for labels I have previously made playlist from. Would also like to note that I had asked other users on Reddit, and are having same problem.

I filed a ticket about this some weeks ago and support mentioned that the feature had been removed. If anything this feature helped users discover new music and increased traffic/listens, a win for everyone. At least when it was first crippled a couple weeks ago, it was just the albums tab that was missing. A work around was to sort the tracks tab by release, albeit not as great as using the albums tab. Now the entire label search modifier function is completely gone as of now. Incredibly lame.

In my correspondence with support I mentioned the value of this function. Perhaps the more people who bring this up to support the better, although I have a feeling very few knew about this feature in the first place. Hopefully they will bring it back, perhaps an actual hard baked function such as clicking the label on a release to view the discography.
