Podcasts have constant ads in premium

I’m getting constant ads while listening on a podcast. Every 10 minutes I get an ad from the same company. I’ve read that premium subscription is not supposed to have ads and those are ads in the podcast itself. I highly doubt that as the podcast is American and the ads are exclusively for a Finnish online shop. They are also completely different themes (a true crime podcast and an adult toy online shop 🙄). 

I’m truly disappointed. I switched to Deezer from Spotify when they started playing ads during podcasts but at least Spotify is open about this and they had maybe two ads during an hour long episode.

hello there @PiiaK 

deezer only forwards radio and podcast streams and has no influence on the advertising contained here. This comes directly from the providers of the radio streams and podcasts.

This is not the first time I read about people complaining about ads on podcasts (me included) and the common factor is, everyone has ads targeted to their location and in their language no matter the language of the podcast.

 

So saying deezer has no influence on the ads is at best hypocrisy (and we PAY for it ??), at worse concerning: why would you have no control on your advertisement while it targets so well your clients ?

 

Make it make sense (or best: make the ads disappear)
