This feature - some of us find very useful when trying to build a listening queue - keeps disappearing from app and web browser.

so if i’m listening a song and want the next song to be a specific one, how the F do i do that?

thanks,

best to your product managers !

“It’s a feature, not a bug!” according to Deezer. 😉 Searching for a track and starting it from the search automatically creates a Mix with similar tracks (shown greyed out on the left side of the track name in the web player and desktop app). This means you cannot add another track yourself to the queue similar to starting Flow. I once created an idea to bring the old behaviour back or at least make it switchable, but no dice.

Absolutely agree this feature is broken! Why should we need workarounds in order to get out of a mix and be able to add to the queue?! In trying to figure this out, I read on Reddit of a user that has a 3 second song on a playlist, so they can start the playlist and then add songs to queue - so ridiculous! The only way I’ve figured to get out of an “automix” is to start my favorites (say on shuffle) and then I can add to the queue. Here’s a thought - how about just make “automix” an option, rather than the default when you play a track?!?!? I came to Deezer from Spotify so I could shuffle my favorites - a seemingly obvious feature that Spotify lacks. With the realization the queuing is such a hassle in Deezer, I’m still in search of a better music service.

Indeed. Queues are a necessity of you want to have a nice evening with friends listening music.

Throw a tablet on the table and help yourself.

Nobody wants to be the dj for the night, each time clicking play when a song is finished.

Please Deezer fix this.

How is this not a basic implemented functionality is beyond me. How about implementing the things people keep asking about instead of smugly declaring that it’s designed like that? Apparently it’s not designed well if people keep asking about a needed feature that’s absent here, but available on other services.

Any news for adding these two features  ? I used it a lot. Most of the time I have a banger playlist/mix/album but I just want to listen a song without loosing what I was listening.

Is there any plan to bring it back ? It would be so great. Honesty, if this is not added, I might be able to switch for Spotify juste for this feature. The rest is awesome, but this is just a must Have.

Hi @Louis Potiron, I understand how important those features are for your music experience.

Currently, we don't have any news regarding the addition of those features.

We're constantly working on improving Deezer, so your feedback is valuable to us.

I just cancelled my subscription due to this incomprehensible desing that you just cannot start listening and add more songs to the queue. The usability is completely broken.

Hi @ollijm, I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the app.

Your feedback about the queue design and usability is very important to us, and I’ll be sure to share it with our team.

We're constantly working to improve, and input from users like you helps us focus on the areas that need attention.

Also switched over partly because of this.

If I cannot control to what I'm listening next, why am I paying? I might as well listen to the radio.

It's actually an advertised argument of the biggest competitor:

"Why join premium?

(...)

Organize listening queue"

Sure, it’s not a bug, but I’m sorry, you can’t call the lack of a feature ‘a feature’. It’s a glaring omission having just migrated from Spotify, and I can see absolutely no reason why not being able to do something really useful would be better than being able to do the useful thing.

I’m really liking most other things about the app and service so far, but this is a dealbreaker for me and I will likely unsubscribe after the trial is up and search for another alternative.

I just started a premium trial subscription and am.about to.cancwl immediately as you can't add to queue  manage queues.  Unbelievable that you won't implement it. You just brush people of for years with " your feedback is important to us"  just give e people what they want.
