Organize and Delete songs in MY playlists

Dear Deezer Teams,

Merci

Louis

Hi @Louloubox !

We are an EN community and we don't understand French very well.
However, I took the time to translate .

Dear Deezer Teams,

Hundreds of messages on this topic...

Impossible to search for a track in your playlists and thus easily delete it.

So there's generally one use case you don't seem to be taking into account: "my music."

Let me explain: you're very good at offering us music in Flow. But sometimes we want to keep certain tracks, in playlists, that is. And listen to them again. And sometimes delete them.

But doing this is an absolute pain. We've been lugging around tracks for years that we no longer want to hear!

Why?

No easy "delete this track from the playlist" option while listening.

No "search for this track in my playlists" option.

I'd add that there's no "I want to listen to all my playlists in shuffle" function; there's only "Listen to my downloaded music."

Can you consider this "Library" report that some users have for music? Basically, this need for a minimum of functionality to organize YOUR music in DEEZER.

I have to say that I would disagree with you .

No easy "delete this track from the playlist" option while listening.

You can remove a particular song from the playlist at any time, even when it is playing.

Tap on 3 dots ➡ Remove from playlist

No "search for this track in my playlists" option.

Here is track search

I'd add that there's no "I want to listen to all my playlists in shuffle" function; there's only "Listen to my downloaded music."

Shuffle my music play all songs from your Favorites

Dear Nina,
Great to hear from you and to see your motivation at anseering me. Sorry that I wrote in French… I was adressing to DEEZER App designers first, and though they were French speakers.

You have a lot of energy and that is super appreciated.

My point is not to critize DEEZER but to honnestly explain how it is limiting my user experience.

I have double checked all you proposals. Look my replies point by point to better express my troubles. And see if this could lead to some improvements.

1- To delete a track from a Playlist : I insist this is not easy at all.

To do what you suggest, you need to go first on the specific playlist page (not on the track lists or while listening baecause then this DELETE is not proposed as an option) and search for the track that is playing… not cool when you have 300 tracks in a playlist. and then only “Remove from the playlist”.

2 - “Shuffle my music VS play all songs from your Favorites “:

Yes this is an option you are right for “My favorite Tracks”. But this is not my point. My music and My favorite are 2 different concepts for me. I have maybe 200 Favorites tracks. And Maybe 2000 Tracks in my various Playlists. I inisist I could find an way to shuffle those 2000 tracks. These tracks I call facto MY MUSIC.

What you are suggesting is that I would add all MY MUSIC to my FAVORITES. Yes I could do that. But then I would lose the Differenciation. I would lose the concept of My favorite tracks among My music.

So to conclude: It seems impossible to Shuffle all “tracks present in my Playlist” (i call this my Music)

3 - Search for tracks in MY MUSIC.

Now i want to look for a track in “my MUSIC”. Not ONLINE all Deezer Music. I want to search inside MY ALL PLAYLISTS (I have 41 Playlists). That is impossible…

So should I memorize where I have stored a Track to look inside this specific Playlist to find this tracks? Not really an option.

So, de facto I do search ALL DEZZER... and search again for a track that I have already selecetd in the past but i can’t find anymore because this Search option is not there.

I give you an example: I would do like to look for a song from Bob Marley :

Option 1 : I look for Bob Marley on deezzer all music: I receive maybe >300 proposals…

Option 2 : I want to listen to the Bob Marley tracks (maybe 5 or 8) that have selected inside my various playlists : Impossible. I would need first to know where I've placed and saved these selected tracks, In which playlist they are…

If I go to “PLAYLISTS” = I see all of them, I have 41. Yes I can Search for the Playlist Names ok. But I can not search for tracks inside them. I can not “search Bob Marley among my 41 Playlist”

That is regretable especially when I am with a friend and would like to show him some tracks I have selected from that or that artist.

I hope you get what I mean. I am not allways sure if my english is precise enough

Have a Great Day,

Regards,

Louis
