Hello,
I'm really not happy about losing audition each time you play an advert. No need to put it 80% louder than the music. If I can hear the music, I can hear the ad... So would you please keep the same volume of sound?
Note: I have the feature “Normalize audio” activated, I’m on Mac and I can assure you that it does not work and that my ears do not enjoy it. Any solution to help me?
Thanks
Hello
Have a nice day!
Thanks for your answer.
For more details, I use Deezer directly on Chrome, version 80.0.3987.132. Don’t know if it can help.
Sorry if my previous message seemed a little cold. I lost patience about being startled regularly while working.
Have a nice day too
Hi
so other streaming platforms are able to have the volume of ads at the same level as what is set on the browser but Deezer can’t?
I recently switched to Deezer because of the User-Centric Payment System but will revert back to my previous streaming platform (I already use other means to support my favorite artists anyway) since I can’t have a decent audio volume while working with my headset and being on meetings all day.
Hey
Sorry to hear that. In what device and app is this happening? Have you tried normalising the audio on the app settings? It's supposed to work on ads too
Hi,
Can you please normalize the volume of the ads you play ?
Make sure it isn’t louder than the music we listen to.
Thank you.
Hello , thank you for the feedback, I will communicate it to our teams
Have a nice day!
Hello, I have the same problem on desktop using chrome. I’m thankful for the tip to adjust the volume to the highest setting. But it makes me wonder... Since this thread is three years old and the problem remains, I take it that the feedback wasn’t listened to, right?
Hey
So yes, the problem can still occurr!

I’m getting ads from Deezer a lot making me aware of the premium options. For those ads the problem is still the same.
So you are effectively telling me that Deezer can’t adjust the volume of ads from and for Deezer?
Other music streaming platforms don’t seem to have issues like that. There is another thread talking about this from two years ago. So the impression stays that Deezer is simply not interested in solving this.
Using most recent version of Google Chrome on my Mac Air, Deezer Premium ads are MUCH louder than the songs being played. I have the “normalize volume” setting turned on. This is a significant issue that affects my ability to use Deezer’s streaming services and apparentely I’m not the only one. Looking at this thread, this is a persistent issue, recurring issue and this feedback needs to get back to the Dev’s.
Solution: Turn “normalize volume” OFF and adjust your playback volume to match the loudest songs that come up. This way when ads come on, they won’t blast your ears off. This is still a failure on part of the Deezer developers because it renders the “normalize volume” function useless, but hey, whatever it takes...
Hi
I've already forwarded your information to our team.
We truly appreciate your feedback.
Having pop up ads that are twice as loud as anything else I’m listening to is annoying and intrusive. Do better.

Hello there
Yula addressed this a couple replies above. Deezer can’t adjust the volume of the ads that are delivered to them.
I can tell you of a sure-fire solution though: Deezer Premium. I’ve never once heard an ad.
Deezer can’t adjust the volume of the ads that are delivered to them.
Of course they can. They can have a moderation team (which they should already have to make sure there are no illegal ads), making sure the ads are following a defined convention. They can also use some script to detect the peak audio loudness and normalize it when receiving the audio file and storing it on their server.
Also, the site completely prevents you from adjusting the volume or even pausing the playback while an ad is playing, which is terrible UX especially when some of the ads are so loud and playing at full volume.
