Nick Cave albums missing from Discography

Userlevel 2

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have released three albums since 2016. All of them are on Deezer, but two do not appear in the Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds discography. The albums are:
Skeleton Tree (2016)
Ghosteen

Additionally, there is an album called Carnage, credited to Nick Cave and Warren Ellis that does not appear in either Nick Cave’s discography nor Warren Ellis’s discography.
Carnage

Windows client, sorted by release date, Ghosteen and Skeleton Tree do not appear despite being in the date range. (They are also not further down the list.)

Tracks from these two albums do appear in the “Top Tracks” section.

Hi @dylant !

You need search Discography in another way ⬇

I see what you are saying, but it still doesn’t make sense to me why the “Albums” section of the artist page has 11 albums, but when you search the artist name, you get 119 albums.

Surely if you click the name of the artist on the album, you would expect to see AT LEAST the album on the artist page you just clicked into?

I can see you can find the album other ways, I don’t dispute that, I found it by searching for it too, but why does it not appear in the artist page?

By the way, the post above mine here is NOT an answer. Don’t know who marked it like that, not me. It doesn’t solve anything. I KNOW I could just search for the album, that’s how I found it in the first place.

@dylant

In Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds Discography is Albums ,

and if you scroll down you will find More Albums

Now that’s an answer. Thanks. Seems you have to hard scroll to the bottom of the page before it loads, but it does load. Not super obvious, but good enough for me. Thanks!

By the way, ‘More Albums’ solution only works somehow acceptable on web-based players - website and Windows, on Android, on the other hand, you have to find and click super small button ‘More Albums’ instead of just continuing to scroll down. It is super weird to see a button at the end of the list in 2023 while all the modern apps have an endless scroll, both Android and iOS SDK have all tools needed to implement an endless scroll. Even more frustration on Android causes the case when an artist simply got no albums in main discography section for some reason and all his albums are under ‘More Albums’, like this guy https://www.deezer.com/en/artist/4394822. You can somehow get to his albums on web-based players, although you have to scroll through irrelevant ‘Similar Artists’ and ‘Featured in’ sections, but it is simply IMPOSSIBLE on Android (I don’t have iOS based device to test) because surprise-surprise the infamous super small button ‘More Albums’ exists only at the end of the regular ‘Albums’ section, that is not featured for this artist.

Thanks for the support here @Nina Nebo

Hello @KOSBUM @dylant on a nutshell, when you don’t find any discography like it was the case of this artist (https://www.deezer.com/en/artist/4394822), by the way it is fixed, it is because the distributor didn’t classify the albums and singles as official release. So when they miss that information, they go under “more Albums”.

For this artist, https://www.deezer.com/en/artist/1581 - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, there was also some releases that were not classified and official releases. All was fixed too.

If you still see something incorrect in any of those two artist, please let me know and share links of any individual album/single that needs to be manipulated.

Also this is valid as well for any other artist that you discover when browsing our catalogue.

Thanks for the help.
