New Single/New Album Notifications No Longer Showing

Hey Guys!

 

I seem to have noticed that I am no longer receiving the notifications (via the top right bell icon) in situations where artists I have favourited releasing new music. 

 

I have checked notification settings and everything is selected as expected. I have looked at notifications via the browser and Android app, both of which show the same problem. My last notification was from 2 weeks ago but I know music has been released and is on Deezer from some of my favourite artists since then.

 

As am example, and as per below images, I have Lana Del Rey as a favourite and she released a new single this week (14th) which has not been reflected via the notification bell but is not the only instance. Any ideas on how to solve this issue? Thanks!

    Hey @ChrisMortlock can you tell me the name of an artist that appeared in your notifications but it’s not on your favourites? 

    Hey Yula! Sure - as an example and per the screenshots 1 and 2 below, I received a notification of an album called 'John Eliot Gardiner Conducts Bach' by the artist John Eliot Gardiner even though - as far as I can see - He is not favourited.

    Interestingly, whilst I have seen some notifications triggering (mostly for artists I have not liked), there are still instances of new music for artists I have favourited but there is still no notification at all.  See example for the artist 'Sleeping At Last' and their new single 'To Be Enchanted' released 3rd March for which I did not receive any notification at all.

    Hello there @ChrisMortlock, favourite artists are now not the only data use to push notifications. 

    Your favourites tracks are now being considered by the algorythm,

    there is a test ongoing to challenge the algorythm to give the best notifications.

    Are you able to confirm with the team that - at a minimum - I will receive notifications for any artist I have favourited (in addition to anything else the algorithm picks up)?

      Related issue, I presume: my new release playlist “updated every Friday” didn’t update last week or today 😥
