music pauses when i pause videos in another tab

I’ve tried to do the same with Instagram and the Deezer app. When I pauze the video in Instagram, Deezer keeps on playing.

I’m using Windows 11 and Edge. Also tried it with Google Chrome, also no problems.

Can you tell us what you are using? Mac OS X or Windows? And which browser are you using?

Hi ​@mth vsn I tried to reproduce it on my side and Deezer didn’t stop playing when I switched tabs or play/pause on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Youtube.

I am using W11 with Chrome, that info was hidden in my tags, sorry. It’s not consistently reproducible, at the moment I don’t have this issue either. I definitely did yesterday and experienced this in the past, which is why I reported it. Might also be related to the audio device I am using, right now I’m wearing a USB headset, at home I mostly use Bluetooth speakers.

Update: It is indeed only when I listen via bluetooth speakers/headphones.

I just tested it again in Chrome (Version 144.0.7559.60): music is playing in the Deezer tab, I open a video or a story in the Instagram tab that is playing sound. When I pause the video/story, it will also pause the music coming from the Deezer tab until I either switch to Deezer or hit play again in the IG tab.
