Intentional delay in tracks playing

Has anyone noticed Deezer is throttling the number of tracks by putting a number of seconds delay between tracks? It isn't a problem with the Internet connection, instead the track plays silently before restarting.

    We have a Crossfade feature, but it is only available for iOS:
