I recently heard that Deezer is planning to introduce universal sharing links similar to Tidal's, allowing users to share music across different streaming platforms.
Could you please confirm/deny if this feature is being rolled out in late April 2025 as rumored?
Also, if it DOES exist, how will this universal link functionality work compared to Tidal’s implementation?
EDIT:
## Tidal's Universal Link Feature
**What It Is**
Tidal's universal link feature allows users to share music—tracks, albums, or artist pages—with anyone, regardless of which music streaming service the recipient uses. When a recipient opens the shared link, they're taken to a special Tidal web page where they can choose their preferred streaming service (like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, or Amazon Music) to play the content.
**How It Works**
- Share a song, album, or artist from the Tidal app using the share menu.
- The recipient opens the link, which leads to a Tidal web page listing multiple streaming platforms.
- The recipient selects their preferred service, and the song opens there—no need for a Tidal account or app.
**Key Points**
- No extra steps for the sender—just share as usual.
- Recipients aren’t forced to use Tidal; they can listen on their platform of choice.
- Currently supports major services like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music, with plans to add more.
- There’s no limit to how much you can share.

@T3kn3vra I believe it is still on schedule. No idea about Tidal, and since I don’t use Tidal, I don’t really have any interest.
Here is a little more info about the feature. Note that I am not a Deezer employee, I am just sharing gathered information. Since it is already April 22, you shouldn’t have to wait long for your answers.
Deezer's universal link feature allows users to share music tracks with friends, regardless of the streaming service they use. When a user shares a link, the recipient is directed to a Deezer page with options to open the track on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. This feature, rolling out in late April, expands upon Deezer's existing Shaker feature, which enables users to create shared playlists with friends outside of Deezer.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
Sharing across platforms:
Deezer's universal sharing link enables users to share music with friends who use other music streaming services, even if they don't use Deezer themselves.
Deezer landing page:
When someone receives a shared link, they are taken to a Deezer landing page that provides options to open the song on their preferred streaming service.
Expanded accessibility:
This feature aims to make it easier for users to share their favorite music with their entire social circle, regardless of the platform they use.
Building on existing features:
The universal sharing link complements Deezer's Shaker feature, which allows users to create collaborative playlists with people outside of Deezer.

The way that you described it makes it sound like the feature will be close to, if not identical to, TIDAL's, which I am super happy about, because I was there when TIDAL first unveiled that feature, and I thought that it was a feature that EVERY music service should have.
