Import local audio files from phone storage into My MP3 (Android)

Hi Deezer team,

I’d like to request the ability to import local audio files directly from phone storage into the Deezer Android app (My MP3), without requiring desktop upload.

Currently, adding personal tracks on Android depends on a desktop browser, which is not always accessible for mobile-only users. Many listeners keep rare tracks, live recordings, or personal audio files on their phones and want them integrated into their Deezer library.

Android provides secure system file picker APIs that allow user-selected audio import without broad storage access. Several music apps already support this workflow.

Suggested flow:

My MP3 → Import from device → select audio file → add to My MP3

This would make My MP3 usable directly on mobile and improve the overall Deezer experience for users who rely on their phones as primary devices.

Thanks for considering this feature.

Additional context from my use case:

I rely on Deezer mainly on Android mobile and don’t always have access to a desktop environment. Many of my personal tracks (rare releases, live recordings) exist only on my phone.

Because My MP3 upload currently depends on desktop web, these tracks cannot realistically be integrated into my Deezer library in mobile-only scenarios.

Direct import from device storage inside the Android app would solve this gap and make My MP3 fully usable for users whose primary device is their phone.
