Hey, not a fan of the Quiz panel on the home page. Glad it is fun for folks. I find it utterly annoying. If there is a way to remove it, please, do tell. If there is not, please accept this as a feature request to make the Quiz panel. I just want to play music. Thanks.

Unfortunately it’s not possible to customize the home page of the app.
This feature was created with the aim of providing fun and joy to all users who like to test their musical knowledge with their friends and also discover new music that meet their musical tastes.
Right, thanks, yes, I understood the thinking of Deezer in offering the feature and mention that in my question. Anticipating this answer I, yesterday, posted a Feature request/idea to the appropriate place in the forum. A simple toggle button in Account/Setting/Display.
As someone who keeps my profile private as I am here to listen to music and not to engage in yet another information gleaning ‘social’ and as a paid premium subscriber, there should be an option (you know, for those of us not interested in fun and joy with strangers :) ). As to discovering new music, Deezer does a phenomenal job already with various features.
Meanwhile my workaround on desktop is to use Deezer in a browser only (the desktop app being essentially redundant) with a good ad block that allows on to eliminate unwanted elements. This can be done on a phone or tablet as well using a browser. Naturally one cannot download music by this means but given-n-take.
