How do i check audio file quality / confirm lossless quality

To make it short, Is Deezer truly HiFi? And how can i prove this

If you see a HiFi sticker in the lower left corner of an album cover (check the play queue view on desktop), it is a lossless FLAC file streaming. HQ means MP3 at 320kbps, nothing means SQ, i.e. MP3 at 128kbps e.g. for free users or if you have chosen this audio quality yourself to save space on your mobile app.

How can one find this info on the Android app? When I download my playlists in 'Hi-Fi' quality, the storage space used does not change at all from when it was set to standard quality.

Also there is no indicator in the app to show what audio quality I am listening to.

To download albums and playlists in a higher quality, you have to delete the former download first and then redownload them with the higher quality setting:

So, firstly, not all of Deezer’s catalogue is lossless? Although, I suspect the same is with other streaming services. And secondly, and perhaps more importantly, how can we insure we are getting a lossless signal to our endpoint, ie our speakers or headphones? Not Bluetooth, not Airplay 2. In fact a little bit of research (yeah, I did my own research….) tells me this is more difficult than what it seems. One short answer, I believe Deezer needs a proper Connect feature.

I play from Windows app via usb to active speakers with soundcard. It believe that works ...
